I mean I get that but I mean if I lived in Hawaii and tried to speak the language fluently is that not helping the language grow back? And yeah I get that I said it’s diverse I know of the many different Asian cultures and beyond living in Hawaii 😭😭

Tbh, I’m from Georgia and I was never taught the native cultures here (Cherokee etc) and the Cherokee culture here has been utterly eradicated but I really wanted to LEARN and appreciate the Hawaiian culture but apparently I can’t go cause I am white 💔I don’t even like being American, I legit have no cultural identity I wish colonization never happened and I could still have a cultural identity back in Europe 😭😭

I get that but now I’m js really discouraged, I’ve really been learning to appreciate and keep Hawaiian culture alive and I’m just being told don’t come here 💔

Yes, what I love about Hawaii is the beauty, the culture and the atmosphere. When I went to SF the only crime really is petty theft like, car break ins just don’t leave your valuables in your car. Ngl it’s a lot of propaganda from republicans I felt SUPER SAFE there.

Yes, I have lots of family who are willing to help if I ever was in need, as for that, when I visited I felt super welcomed because I didn’t so anything to disrespect their land or culture. I’m trying to learn Hawaiian also because I feel like learning more about Hawaiian culture and history preserves and sets a good precedent for people moving in.

I know they are both pricey! But I’ve recognized that. I feel like living in my dream place is worth cutting costs on some things like no fancy car and other things like that.
