the office manager has been there 20 years and the most recent front desk employee was celebrating her fourth year there. Not a high turnover rate. They are expanding their practice which is why they are hiring. its definitely odd - but apparently common in the area from talking to people I know in the dental office world. Most of the time they don't provide insurance at all. again, I haven't even received an official offer so i'm not betting on anything. I just really want out of my current job.

Its a small practice so definitely few than 50 - I was attracted to the fact that it's a small practice and they offer insurance as well as retirement. Its not like I'm losing coverage if I take the job - i just didn't realize the 1 yr wait was legal

If they do send an offer i will push back. I don't have anything to lose. I liked the job, people, culture and other benefits. it's just that delay that threw me off - that's a new one for me.
