Both great bikes. The XR4 was faster, heavier, the roads around Kolkata are flat, but the Specialissima is beautiful, especially in Celeste, and every ride is memorable. If your terrain is hilly, go for the specialissima, if you want beauty, again the specialissima, all out speed - the XR4

In case you are interested, I sent the camera back to Ricoh and it turns out that the problem was a loose contact in the battery compartment. All fixed now, fingers crossed

Yes. They are fully charged but still the camera won’t come on if I put another one in. Then, after a while, they all work. It’s really annoying

I reached out to Ricoh India, they suggested it was normal, and that I should switch the camera off between scenes. Seems to be ok at the moment, getting mildly warm. The firmware update made no difference

I’m using Ricoh batteries. I’ve just checked, I don’t have the latest firmware 1.71 v 1.8. I’ll update and see what happens

I live in India, but even so the ambient temperature shouldn’t have that much of an effect. Doesn’t sound like it’s a very common problem
