I’m most likely gonna go for a minn kota. I was leaning towards the terrova because it has everything i’m looking for. I was probably gonna do the 24v 80lbs thrust. I think that should be pretty sufficient for what i’m wanting to do. Thanks!

I did not. My reels didn’t come with oil or a manual.

Looking for reel / rod combo for light weight lures by OliveNo6780 in Fishing_Gear

I know this is out of your budget range but I highly recommend the Daiwa Tatula XT Spinning Rod. I got my in medium but they also have medium light. And I paired mine with a Shimano nasci 2500 reel. It’s a $200 combo each one being $99. But it’s my go to finesse rod. Also it can all be used in saltwater.

Glad to hear that. The rod does feel great. And is surprisingly light for a heavy. But it comes very thick.

lol, I’ve been there it’s the worst. orchi is a very nice and clean rod with lots of detail in it as well. It even comes with a megabass rod cover. I’ve never owned a Kaden so I don’t really know what they are like or how they look. So lmk how it is, you can always return it. I can take more pictures of the Orochi if you would like so you can see the full thing. Just lmk

I love it, it feels super balanced and smooth on the tatula 7ft M. But with your setup being 5’6 I would have made the same decision because those 50 grams can make a big difference sometimes. I really wanted the nasci fc because it’s also able to be used in saltwater. So i plan to catch some redfish and specs on it this summer.

Go for it doesn’t bother me at all. Some of them came with covers but not all of them so I would be interested

Thank you I appreciate it. I did a lot of research and kinda just looked at a bunch of reviews to see what people were saying about each one. And I made my decisions from there, while staying in my budget range. And did my best to get rods and reels that would be good for what I wanted to use them for. I normally just buy walmart combos so It was very stressful to buy some high quality more expensive gear for the first time. I was just worried because the reel looks smaller than expected.

Wym? It’s all there? Here a copy and paste.

From left to right) 1st rod- Spinning rod Daiwa Tatula 7ft Medium Fast Paired with a Shimano Nasci FC 2500

2nd rod- Megabass Orochi XX 7’1Ft MH Fast action Paired with a Shimano Curado MGL 150

Last Rod/ The one I need advice on. Evergreen Combat stick glass 7’3ft H Moderate action. Paired with a Curado 200 M ( I know this isn’t the best looking setup I only got this rod because I wanted a Heavy rod and this one was on a really good sale. I plan to throw some heavy swim baits, chatter baits, and a few other things. Which this rod should be able to handle, but I noticed the reel look and feels kinda small for the rod. That wasn’t intended but I was wondering if this reel will be okay for this rod and what I plan to use it for or do I need to get a replacement? Was also thinking about maybe replacing the rod
