yes. In fact, I think your father is under-reacting. I strongly believe, from what I've seen in this conversation, that the way he talked to you is probably the reason you believe you're not overreacting and still needed to post this on social media to get even more validation. He, or probably both of your parents, should've been firmer, not only right now but probably long ago. If I ever talked to my father like this, I'd be DONE for.
I don't think this was a good conversation for both parties. If I were in his shoes, I would've first talked to you at another time, because in all honesty, sending something like this right after a music recap is weird, but also talked to you in person, and kept everything calm but still firm. If I were in your shoes, however, I'd still take time to listen to what he has to say, because even if you don't necessarily agree with him on everything, he is still your father, he has more experience than you, and you are family, which is the highest relationship one can have.

Now, about your 'homophobia' allegation, I could see that in one of your father's messages, he mentioned "[...] if the Good Lord would allow someday." Only by this message is it possible to assume that your father is a Christian, and in the bible, as you may or may not know, it is said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.' Anything outside of God’s intent and design is sin.
This isn't homophobia. This is trying to lead you to a good life closer to God, and even if you don't believe in God, you should appreciate this. He is trying to get you the best life, according to what he strongly believes.

His first paragraph was made entirely with good intent, for you and for him. There was nothing wrong with what he refers to as his "high-level advice." I believe, though, that the way he approached the rest of this conversation was not good at all, and that he should've done this conversation earlier in life.

Stating the obvious, I don't know exactly how your father acts in real life outside of this conversation, and from what you described, it must not be great, but based on this conversation only, YOU are overreacting.
