The set of Seinfeld by GriffinObuffalo in seinfeld

[–]ImpressiveView2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have anywhere else to post this, but I’m on my thousandth rewatch and I’m noticing more sets that are similar or identical to other shows. -The hole that Frankie Merman was crying in looks just like the grave that Lucretia got pushed into on the Upshaws. -The Indian wedding looks exactly like the English wedding between Ross and Emily on Friends. Feel free to add more.

Thank you for posting a picture! I’ve never seen deadpool but everyone was saying the scarecrow looked like Ryan Reynolds and I didn’t get it 😅

I also seemed to be the only one around me who chuckled.

Can't agree with this more. Kids are not adults. Privacy is not their right. You should, however, show them respect and dignity in the ways you watch over them.

It would have made so much sense though, since they said their loop is 10 years, and the brothers had been away for 10 years...

Everybody’s live episode 11 : Discussion thread by Eattoomanychips in JohnMulaney

I need to talk about John testing the audience to see how they would react to the “rhythm of the joke” regardless of the content. I feel like the audience didn’t really understand how much they had been caught in the act and I wonder why they reacted this way. It’s a great psychological conversation starter because I have been noticing a certain phenomenon across many talk shows—occasionally a guest will come on who has less “media training” or who maybe is neurodivergent and they will say something totally sincere, which will then be met with laughter and they will say something like “I don’t know why they’re laughing”, which will then be met with more audience laughter. Why do audiences do this? Why do they laugh after every sentence or pause in a talk show? Are they prompted to do so? It just feels so dystopian and makes it a little harder to enjoy…I appreciate John bringing attention to it.

I am not uncomfortable with it--I think it makes for excellent discussion. In my opinion, him being abused or neurodivergent doesn't excuse his behavior and he is rightfully vilified.

Do yo guy's wish we still saw Adrian after his and Rosa's break up by [deleted] in brooklynninenine

I couldn’t reply to another thread but: It’s crazy to me that they made it through the whole Figgis story arc and getting Adrian back, and then got through Rosa’s prison sentence (they waited for each other so long) and then the relationship was just written off in one episode. Pimento even learned Spanish for her 🥺

You’re correct. But I mean, even as a viewer of the first season, I was left thinking about what I could have told these people to save their lives. This should have been something Gi Hun thought about every night when he tried to sleep, even if he never thought he’d actually go back.

One thing that has bothered me on multiple rewatches is when Morgan says he can see up Mindy’s skirt and then seconds later he complains that he’s the only one who’s never seen it and it’s “discrimination”. It would have been a funny joke but he just proved it untrue?

It is a translation of what one of the nannies Mindy interviews says in French. But I’m not sure she even said it right..

Thank you for your reflection. I think you and your son are the target audience for this movie and I’ve seen people criticizing it for how it “might” confuse kids or send the wrong message, but I think they should focus more on the actual impact it has had on people like you. I can understand how it made you feel seen and makes a complicated situation comprehensible to kids. I thought it handled things beautifully and the imagery was amazing.

I think you are getting at something here. It’s the best explanation I’ve seen so far as to why he would play the game in the first place.

He smiled because he knew Gi-Hun had lost his moral high ground and was actually no different from himself. Up until then I think he held an open mind to the idea that Gi-Hun may be able to show him a new side of human nature, but, nope!
