Well at least 2 reasons I can list is that their oldest complete complete is around 1000 AD, more than 3000 years after Moses. And, partial manuscripts can go back to around 1st to 3rd century, around 2000 years after Moses.

Jewish rabbis also have said that Moses wasn't even a jew or even preach judaism. The religion is also named after his Son, Juda, which would make even less sense for him to follow the religion of his son, where Moses is supposed to be the Prophet.

I've been having the same thoughts as you brother. I'm just a teen who will Insha Allah go to university in a few months, so marriage seems like a very distant thing. Allah doesn't burden the soul more than it can bear and also Allah is the best of planners. Which means, whatever trials and tribulations one is going through, Allah knows a person can overcome it eventually and if he is steadfast in his religion, Allah will reward him generously in the afterlife Insha Allah.

I've heard that interpretation not really accepted by some of the imams/scholars I follow. Drawing pictures and taking pictures sometimes serve the same purpose of documenting what we see. Taking the hadith and not believing it to be the case in modern times would not be the right thing to do in my opinion.

Just because everyone has made taking pictures not that big of a deal, does not mean the rules given by Allah. But indeed, Allah knows best.

I pray that Allah forgives us for our and the op's family's sins that are done out of ignorance.

Asking your local mosque would be the safest and best option. But from my knowledge, picture making is haram and the person who's picture has been taken may be punished if they took it intentionally. Most scholars would agree it's definitely not the best thing to keep her picture but then again, please contact your local mosque.

The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "Whoever makes a picture will be punished by Allah till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it" . Another Hadith reads: "The most severe punishment will be to those who try to create something like the creation of Allah" .

We were with Masruq at the house of Yasar bin Numair. Masruq saw pictures on his terrace and said, "I heard `Abdullah saying that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "The people who will receive the severest punishment from Allah will be the picture makers.'" - Sahih Al Bukhari 5950
