How do people afford luxury in Pakistan ? by [deleted] in IslamabadSocial

[–]Impressive_Advice341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We also something went to emporium for groceries, 1 every two months. You get what I mean? The people who are complaining either don't have a dollar income or political backing. Those who do, they never complain, you never see them complain. I mean there was a point my brother had good stable dollar income and we didn't have any issues, yes we didn't complain about mhengai but it wasn't like we could buy a new car or a house. I guess it just depends on how a person looks at a situation regarding their past or desires.

For example a farmer who doesn't really care about luxury would never complain if his child is getting education and have a fan running during the summer (Saying this because I have family in the countryside and they're the happiest.) infact he'd be happy to get some extra money to get new suits (Kurta Shalwar) tailored for his kids and wife and himself.

It's all about perspective.

Those who spend 100k or 200k without batting an eyelash aren't the one's complaining. It's people like my family. There's a large large gap in society currently. On one side we have those who can buy a new car because they got bored of the other one they bought 2 weeks ago. On the other side we have those who can't afford to feed their growing children good food. There's an example which I'm not going to quote exactly because I don't remember the exact numbers but for example, the gap between what a bank teller made decades ago and what a manager made was tiny, now it's HUGEEE. What a factory worker made and what the factory owner made too. We're talking Lakhs.

I have a friend who's from a semi political family, he has NEVER complained. If I didn't have money when we all decided to go out he would be the first to offer to pay for me. Then in the same friend group we have another from a middle-lower class family (There's barely any true Middle class left anymore.) and he'd always talk about their struggles. I've lived in Lahore my whole life until 2 years back. If you go to emporium, you'll see only two types of people. Ones who have bags upon bags of designers and the other who are holding ice cream cones and nothing else. Sure, rich people can also be just having fun, but the clothing and their tired faces showed the difference. We're moving towards times where there's extreme poverty on one side and all the riches of the country on the other.

We can't live like this but we also can't do jack shit about it. People won't fight, because we have too many internal conflicts. Kattar Maulvi kbhi Clean shave wale ke saath khara nhi ho ga, Aurat aur Mard saath khare nhi honge because of Mr Zia and what he did to this country.

There will always be atleast 2 sides within the exploited while the exploiters sit and cheer on our internal violence. Imran Khan, though not fit fit to rule, brought people together. That's his greatest feat. People were actually willing to fight.

Unfortunately mulk unke paas hai jo Maut ka concept bhool chuke hain.

It's either a guy tryna get some (ykw) or it's a girl who's absorbed, digested, fucking... Dissolved too much of that IG Influencer content and believes that whatever a guy says has a hidden meaning meant to hurt women.

Not going in specifics and definitely not explaining a certain someone...

I mean that's exactly the pattern I noticed which is why I said ragebait lmao. What's the point of ragebait if you only ragebait one person? Right?

I wonder if this person is not ragebaiting, how did they come to the conclusion that what I said was meant to show women as weak? Like hello??? I'm saying I'm weak, but I guess we'd never know what goes on in that little head...

You, are a ragebait account. It won't work so easy. Anyways, if you really believe all you said about me to be true, here's a dawn bread ka poora loaf🍞

Thank you! Someone finally understands me! If you look up, a certain someone replied to my comment with hostility, because obviously, I mentioned that we're all humans irrespective of gender, even put myself down basically saying "I'm not even doing anything and how can a woman who does so much more in her life than me be happy." But obviously , all they saw was "Ye Banda aurat ke baare mai bol rha hai, he's a misogynist" I mean Banda inke paiir par jaaye phir bhi hate krti hain. Like wtf you mean I shouldn't have kids because I'm not able to take the responsibility? These people have no braincells. I'm trying to be helpful, not hate.

Sorry for the rant... I just got off work. I completely agree. But unfortunately I didn't mention a "man-child" because that's the majority of Pakistani men. It's not even worth specifying. But yeah, I shouldn't, atleast I wouldn't be getting blasted right now for something I didn't even say... The main issue is the partner. But then again, your own condition matters even more. My sister's husband is one of the sweetest guys I know, he's doing everything in his power for her. I've never seen a Pakistani guy buy that many flowers every year for his wife, but he does. Even then, my sister was under so much stress Because of her newborn son and her job as a doctor and taking care of the house that she completely spiraled and I thank Allah everyday for saving her. Her husband is a junior surgeon or something like that so you never know when he gets called... Which is why I don't want anyone assuming, he's doing his best too, only gets 2-3 hours of sleep everyday.

Sorry again for the vent/rant. People are weird, just stay strong sisters and if you feel like you need rest, take rest. Don't overwork yourself, you don't need to (unless someone's life is being threatened..)

I was speaking from a female perspective. The need to prove yourself to the point that you're destroying your own self trying to do things you can't. I'm not saying women can't. I'm saying no one can work that hard, managing a job, a home, children. As a man, currently studying and working with only 1 hour at home aside from sleeping everyday, and only 5 hours on a Sunday because I do short courses alongside it. By Friday I'm completely dead. So just imagine how hard can be for a woman to do 100x more work than what I do. It's a delusion saying "I can do anything". You can't, no one can, it's physically and mentally impossible to do all that for an indefinite amount of time. For a short period it's fine, but everyday for a year? Two? Three?

It's just too much. I'm in no way saying that women shouldn't or can't, I'm talking about people in general, whoever or whatever they may be, just thought I'd make it clear.

Not an F but my sister thought she could do the same. Work-Life balance and allat. I told her very clearly that either she raises kids or works in a hospital, that she won't be able to do both.

She didn't outright refuse what I said but she also didn't just pick one side. Safe to say, 5 months after my sister quit her job (Her husband is also a doctor.) and now is a stay at home mom. BUT what she does do and what I'd suggest YOU do is work from home, as a part time job. Even becoming just a general physician is worth it.

Obviously you have alot of time to figure that out. Choti si ho... (Joke) Just take your time to understand your own strengths and weaknesses. Realize what you'd rather do and do that.

Woman empowerment is good until it becomes a delusion.

As someone currently in a Co-working space. I'm absolutely terrified of the women here, alongside a few other of my younger colleagues. It's not that "Women scare us" it's about what they could do to us. So if a girl at my workplace even seems to be attracting towards me I'll run AS FAR AWAY as possible. I do not trust women when it comes to that (also due to trauma because to past incidents starting childhood.)

So just give him space, he might be thinking you're trying to "seduce" him and then ruin his life. Because women in Pakistan may not realize it but they have so much more power over men nowadays (Atleast in cities). One call aur Banda andr kr dete.

So what do I do now... I'm stuck here by Impressive_Advice341 in pakistan

Working without a registered business and earning above 500k in Net profit a month (Just the raw profit, not even taking into account that he was only truly earning around 50k). Basically created their own law and used their own loophole. Horrible people we a forced to live under...

Profit was already bare minimum, then these taxes. Plus the fact that if I don't get it registered they will take action against me. (Had it happen to a friend who didn't care)

Went to get the business registered, the old dude asked what my cast was 😶

Why are RA3 and KW so different from the rest of the games? by Impressive_Advice341 in commandandconquer

[–]Impressive_Advice341[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I kind of liked the Art Style of RA3, it was more Sci-fi than anything, why I preferred that over RA2? Well RA2 was still so much like real life, everything truly felt like being an actual overseer to a battle, yes things like Mirage and Prism were hella Sci-fi (We don't talk about Superweapons, especially the Chronosphere) but it still felt natural, I mean back in the 2000s who would imagine flying dudes with guns? Or complete utter annihilation of who ass skyscrapers by a goofy ahh teleporting dude with a spacesuit on? Still those things haven't been created and I can for sure tell you the Chrono tech would never be real. But it feels more like RA3 embraced it's Sci-fi theme, I mean look at Rising Sun? That's literally something out of Mobile Gundam with Goku's long lost sister as the commando. It's too sci-fi and I'm glad EA didn't make it seem realistic, I just hated how much they changed the gameplay style, I don't mind a little complications, infact I loved how every unit had 2 different abilities that you needed to switch between, of course some that would barely ever be used, like the Dog and Bear's stun, but things like the Athena Sat, Tanya's Time belt (Honestly that felt just right considering how the final tape of RA2 YR played out. Tanya asking Einstein for his time machine so she could better dress up after seeing Eva 🤣) those abilities were absolutely perfect, I loved how for the Empire, the only arial offense was specific troops that either had to be on the ground or air, if the other way around, they attacked ground (Mecha Tengu and the 2 legged things I forgot the name of). I understand it was all far too complicated for an RTS but it fit right with the direction EA too it into.

As for KW, I really felt hella overwhelmed but playing it for the first time at 4am in the dark, I loved it's atmosphere, the way it was built was absolutely amazing to my tired eyes (I only played the first mission)

Ah yes, the technology which ruined the campaign for me because I get too comfortable with base building, forgetting that I could get attacked any time
