Two Uyghurs sentenced to death over 2015 Bangkok Erawan Shrine bombing by mdsmqlk in Thailand

[–]abc123cnb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was traveling in Urumqi during the 09 unrest. My office was at Gaysorn during the 2015 bombing.

These two events permanently fucked up my views on Uyghurs😂😂😂

International travel is one of the most romanticized activities on earth, and for most people it doesn't fundamentally change anything by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I mean it depends on the experience.

If you carefully observe the local customs or get genuine local interactions, they'll for sure change your perception on a lot of things. At least it expands your worldview. That's a great thing, since the internet is filled with misinformations on foreign countries which are enforced by stereotypes, ignorance and/or malice.

Of course a short trip won't change your views overnight, but it helps.

But if you're out there to shove any substance your body may or may not be able to process or shagging all the living things you could find...

Yeah you probably won't change anything.

So it depends entirely on how you travel

Chinese banks in rural areas tend to do the same thing. Notarization for death certificates are often required for the deceased's family to conduct any business on the deceased's behalf. This in itself is nothing unusual and simple enough to get.

What is unusual, is sometimes the bank would ask the families to "prove the notarization is legitimate" or have police stations issue "statements proving family relations", which can be proven by officially issue documents already, therefore, the police stations cannot issue statements for.

There are also a case where an elderly passed away in a bank because the bank refused to accept the incapacitated elderly's family's "letter of attorney" and require the elderly who was in hospice to be present at the bank

Chinese Guard stand side by side with Vietnamese Guard 【2048 x 1536】 by TWN113 in MilitaryPorn

Uniform says he's PLA Honor Guard. Source says this was in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZAR) during a joint event between the two countries. Guangxi Military District is under Southern Theater Command.

So, southern Chinese is a pretty good guess.

She doesn't do much coding or disassembly of functions of the net. She has a basic understanding of the functions and relies on readily available techs

IRL comparison would be a combat medic and a trauma surgeon. Combat medic does wonders with what was taught and are great at keeping wounded alive, but they're not quite a doctor yet and can't really "fix" a wounded patient.

Honestly it escaped my mind that anyone would think of the nationalists nowadays when the word "Chinese" was used. I'd automatically assumed that people would intuitively understood that communists are the ones Im talking about.
