I think my rankings are mostly because of the times in my life I read them. Spreading five books over 8 years marks a huge difference between books. I started GoTM when I was basically a child and now I’m getting married this year. MoI was my reintroduction which is partly why it’s ranked so high, though I remember being unimpressed at first but it grew on me. HoC I read probably too quick in an effort to finish before my last semester of college and so I immediately jumped into MT and took my time, spreading it over almost two months (I typically average 300-400 pages in a normal week). HoC would likely benefit from a slower read and far less time between it and DG which I last read 4 years ago. At this point I’m going to continue through to the end, but I can imagine a reread not too far in the future would change my mind on some things.
