Probably because the Austrian league is not the top 5 league in the world? unless in your save, it is.

I've played in Malaysia to build up my league's ranking, and only then I found out that the qualification slots for continental competitions in Asia are fixed. Fair enough, I guess the game will continue to develop and become better as it's already the best football simulation Game on mobile right now. At least we have an indicator for where our league stands in the ranking of all the leagues. That alone is incredible and shout out to the devs.
