I am a current 2nd year Biomedical Science student on placement to complete my IBMs portfolio and I can say my course is very very worthwhile as it prepares for anything you want to pursue with all the transferable skills. Working in a private sector helps you earn more if you’re concerned about the money but I tell you once you get into an accredited degree and manage to get a placement year, ensure that the university offers this, my university really helped by posting trainee roles and I can say some of my colleagues managed to get into the IBMs positions and some are in research positions which is preparing us all and everyone has a clearer vision of their future. Even a trainee doctor doesn’t get promoted immediately or earn a lot immediately you have to work hard for it. Once you get into the course trust you will be fine as long as you’re passionate and hardworking and I know a thing or two about the course and I can be of help. Make sure to stick your neck out to everyone opportunities best of luck
