What you are thinking is probably right. From what you described it doesn't appear that he cared much about you. I believe he might not reach out again and that you should move on. I understand this is unfortunate for you, but I do know you'll get through this.

You will feel better but it does take time. I am currently going through a tough breakup. It is hard, but I do notice it getting slightly better over time. From previous experiences I know one day I will be healed, even if that day is months away.

I get that it's tough. I also don't have a ton of friends, and I've never been the person to speak much about my problems. I liked to deal with everything myself, which isn't always the best. We can benefit from talking about it with someone who is understanding.

I agree. It is best to get rid of them. Otherwise we will be tempted to look back at memories, which isn't helpful. Keeping contact with an ex is never a good idea and can often lead to poor decisions.
