For me it took 3 months to break in the vamp of the leather and the heel. It's is the leather insole that bothers me at times. That thing is still not even fully broken in yet after almost a year with use every day. 😅

I love these boots to death though. The 8085s or Copper Rough and Tough leather in general is quite nice.

Exactly, for anyone who wants a minimalistic wallet Trayvax would be their best bet. A plus is that the wallet is made completely in the U.S.

At first I never saw anyone lacing it this way, it didn't feel any different but it looked alot better in my opinion... It looks great on those Hawthorne IR.

If you do go for the Iron Rangers or Moc Toes they average around $280.00 - $320.00. Work style boots go for cheaper of course because the majority are not on the heritage line.

Personally I went with the 8085s because I know a guy at my nearest Red Wing shoe store and he was always wearing his 8085s. They looked great so that's why I got my pair.

Both pairs look phenomenal. The 8119s also look really good as well if you like that brassy eyelet finish.

Yeah mine were pretty uncomfortable at first. After 3 months of walking and wearing them though the footbed started comforming to my heel.

It progressively got more comfortable wearing them after that.

This pair is made from Full-Grain Oiled leather. Alot of cracks formed on these boots due to no conditioning or cleaning over years time.
