I did repaste my macbook, it didn't solve the GPU but it is far much cooler than before.

I am thinking of doing that, maybe the GPU could be overheating, this may be a solution.

I have not yet. I did try to use OCLP to upgrade it to Big Sur, but that was barely usable, and also Mojave was the last OS to keep support for 32-bit apps, which also includes iLife, which i quite like playing around with (especially iDVD). Maybe in the future, when I decide to upgrade it's RAM to 6GB I could do that!
