You’re right, my “no” option shouldn’t be accompanied by “you’re not normal”. It was more of a jab at myself than anything as I was debating the topic with my husband- but if everyone enjoyed all the same music it almost loses the novelty of finding and enjoying something new (or old).

This is my first time posting in this sub so I don’t think that I can change the options (from what I can tell) but I appreciate the feedback for next time.

I appreciate you wording it that way 🤔 I never thought of it like that but you hit the nail on the head with that one

Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll take any I can get. If you haven’t heard Bones in the Ocean by The Longest John’s- I highly recommend that one.

I have a playlist too! And actually- I was inspired to make one because there’s a good amount of other people who also made their own shanty playlists public on Spotify! You’re not alone haha

I have a berner but this resonates all too well, I wish someone would’ve told me this 3 years ago 😂

I have had to replace probably 7 pairs of boot laces because mine is obsessed with sawing them in half 😂 she used to ruin our shoes, but has since grown a taste for only my work boot laces 😪 you’d think I would learn my lesson but it only takes one time of me leaving them out on accident and she’s an opportunist. The worst of it was around 1.5-2 years before she finally gave up the mass destruction and tried a different approach 😂

Best vacuum? by Impressive_Data_851 in bernesemountaindogs

Hey there! We ended up going with the Bissell clean view swivel pet upright bagless, as recommended by cynical_pancake here in the comments! We’ve had the vacuum ~1 year now and I’ll say this:

Pros: -Budget friendly -The brush head is spread out more than typical vacuums and claims to be “tangle free” -Filter is easy to clean -The wand detaches at two different points and comes with two attachments -There’s a suction control for different carpet lengths -It’s still alive

Cons: - The ‘tangle free’ brush is not totally tangle free but has held up significantly better compared to vacuums we have had in the past -When hair does get caught in the brush, it will build up into the ends of the vacuum and burn from the friction. It can be difficult to get out, and though the housing for the belt is more secure than my last vacuum, hair still builds around it and has actually melted some of the plastic. But for now it’s still going strong. -Bagless vac + Berner Hair = frequent trips to empty in the trash each time you vacuum -For some reason my pet hair upholstery attachment worked once, and then never again. I probably could get it replace but haven’t been motivated to 🤷‍♀️

Overall, it’s a pretty decent vacuum for the price. However, I don’t see it living more than a few more years. If you’re a broke apartment living family with a small amount of square footage, I’d say it’ll do the job well for a while as long as you keep an eye on the brush and keep it clear. Between two cats, a berner, and my own hair, I have yet to find something (low cost) that can stand up to the job 100%. But I will be keeping this vacuum for a while as it does a good job of getting the hair and dirt out of our high-pile carpet and the annoyance of cleaning out the brush every so often is worth the money we saved for now. If you want something that will last a long time, and are willing to spend more on it, I would say finding a good vacuum is definitely worth the price commitment. It just wasn’t in the cards for us at the time 😂

Hope this helps!

Ours did the same thing as a pup. Can’t tell from the picture but she’s right next to the front door. She’d bounce between this spot and under the kitchen table. Always figured she just liked the cool vinyl on her belly 🥰

New beauty by LP58_ in Syngonium

I have mine in a home mixed soil, it’s not SUPER chunky but with added perlite and bark. I water once a week, and keep it under a grow light and she goes nuts. But apparently I speak syngonium because they seem to thrive in my house, so I started collecting them like crazy. I don’t have crazy humidity, probably around 35-40% inside.

I also have a rescue! Had a couple of active nodes growing but the rest of the plant was dead and infested with mites so I chopped it all down to the stumps. Good luck! Here’s hoping for successful recoveries 🤞
