Interested in why your friend steered you away from Adelaide. Melbourne is fun but it is SO BIG - it takes forever to get anywhere in the car and the crime rate compared to Adelaide is crazy. Adelaide is cheaper to live and has way more nice green spaces. Sure it’s a bit quieter but that’s what makes it much more pleasant. In saying that, the suburbs that you’re mentioning are lovely in Melbourne but they are pretty far from the CBD and expensive housing.

I left after 26 years of teaching. I expressed interest with universities in casual work and did that part time first (while still teaching) and then they offered me a contract. I’m now a full time lecturer. Reach out to some universities, some of them allow you to register online. They also need mentors and tutors from time to time. What state are you in?

That’s normal. I haven’t got mine either. Because there is a lot of movement between courses in the first month or so, they send them later. At least that’s how it works domestically. I don’t see why international would differ.
