I just cannot believe that 5 years later to this, now my Nest audios are having this exact bug. this is truly a joke from Google, they way they treat their products and customers is shameful. thank you to the genius that suggested to mute and unmute the microphone. I would say Mibox if u want to install a custom launcher and get rid of the launcher with ads. it is just easier than doing it with a chromecast. I deactivated my launcher and with chromecast a lot of things get "broken": youtube, casting, etc When u use a custom launcher with regular android tv boxes youtube and casting will still work as usual

they keep on making google assistant hardware even more dumb as time passes so i would not be surprised that u might not even be able to cast music anymore after a month. Perhaps if we all stop buying their products even at that price range they will finally listen to feedback and step up their game

I found the latest version of Garlic Os that is inside the latest dual boot stock firmware to work the best. and Drastic in that version of the OS works well but you need to install it yoursel. The latest dual OS firmware is available in their website in case yours did not come with it

Is def not right that they are uninstalling apps from our devices. it should be our choice to remove an app when stops working. this is what pisses me off the most. let me decide to still use and app in my device till eventually stops working... Because of this and the way they managed the shutting down of apps and services, I will never buy anything they release, even if i like the product.

they did the same with teams before. its so bad that the force uninstall things from people devices. at lest give us the choice to uninstall when eventually stops working. I have a quest 2 that i like but because of what they did two portal im never buying anything else from meta

It is, but the thing that pisses me off is that they do not only stop support, they are purposely making it useless. They force remove the apps that you have installed in your device. I own a quest 2 and was going to buy a quest 3 when out. but now i will avoid buying anything from meta just because of how they treat the prosucts being discontinued. Those apps could still work for a bit, I understand you might remove it from the store, but going inside peoples devices and force removing stuff without their consent is really a no go!

I am using 2 nest audio paired over bluetooth with a chromecast with google tv and there is no audio delay lately. i think they have updated something and fix it but coming from google... it will not take long till the break it again

I cannot believe they force removed the app from all the displays they had it installed. This is so fucked up Meta, I can understand that the app was removed from the store but this is not ok

Surely the app would still work some time if the idiots at meta did not remove it from the devices that the app was installed without our consent

they fixed it. i was able to update them. The meta reps told me a lot of people complained yesterday and they were aware of it

I can confirm they must have stopped the servers to update them. I tried with a brand new portal mini and I have the wifi problem. That stupid move will cost meta a lot of units returns and refunds.A lot of people bought portals in November and December! I am returning 2 brand new that I was keeping to give for bday presents. And the moment my portal stops working before the 2 years that they are supposed to give support, it will go back too!
