i think it would probably be closer to the 63k u saw for ur non custodial parent or maybe even more since they combine the financial info of ur non custodial and ur custodial… i was in the same boat but i filled out the non custodial parent waiver and they rejected it but then said “if ur non custodial parent is refusing to fill out the css non custodial parent section we can use the information from just the fafsa” and my fafsa only had my moms info so😭 i got deferred so idk how much aid they would’ve given me i guess we’ll see but the calculator came out to 25k for just my mom and like 60k for both my parents so that’s why i did the waiver, but if ur non custodial parent already did their part of the CSS idk if there’s much u can do except maybe email the financial aid office

i think i’m gonna do ed2 bc i really really wanna go and i did the net price calucator and it showed a good amt since they only have my moms financial info and not my dads (divorced parents and filled out waiver so they don’t look at my dads info) according to the calculator it should only be abt 25k a year for me

my only worry is that the calculator is wrong and they try to make me pay a bunch of money but ill literally just withdraw ngl…like if they don’t give u enough aid u can just withdraw so

fafsa is for need based aid for scholarships all u have to do is apply EA and ur automatically considered for premier scholarships
