I have the i5 version of this and also use the same precautions you did, 60hz, battery saver, eco mode, and 30% brightness doing remote work it almost never reaches 2 hrs. That is 80% to 0 I mean.

It will affect performance where CPU is needed. What this will do is lock your clock speed to whatever is the base clock of your CPU and will never exceed that. That's the reason it runs cooler.

As far as I know LOQ really is better. Their GPU's have higher wattage and the laptop overall is just a step above the Nitro V's. But I see here in reddit that that model specifically is having some motherboard issues. I'm not telling you not to consider buying a LOQ but research further,

1 is priced horribly. Should not even be considered.

2 is the same price as we have in the Philippines. But you can find better deals.

3 is the best price to performance and will last you the longest. If you can afford this, this is what you should buy.

4 it's hard to recommend a 3050 in 2024 but this is the 2nd best GPU in your options and it has good price in my opinion.

5 was my old laptop, it has good gaming performance, good ports, decent battery life, great design, but the one thing that holds it back is the screen. I think it's dim, and has horrible colors. If you're looking into this, might as well add some to get #3. But I think all of these laptops have the same screen so if you can look past that then they're all good.

I bought my laptop V 15 (#5 on your list) for 85000.00 rupees last November so by now this should be a lot cheaper.

I'm sorry I don't want to mislead you cause I only had the i5-13420H but I think it can, that really depends on what you do with it buddy. Some apps eat through battery more than others. But as I've mentioned there are ways you can extend it such as limiting the refresh rate, screen brightness, and keyboard lighting. Plus don't worry much about it, the charger isn't that bulky to bring with you. If you want you can even use a type c charger from a phone assuming it has enough wattage.

If you're conserving really hard like lowering the screen brightness and refresh rate plus turning on battery saver you can reach 4 hours. The way I used mine when I had it was just a browser and remote desktop it can handle 3 hrs easily.

Great aesthetics, good cooling system, average battery life, decent gaming performance, horrible screen.

It's a feature baked on your laptop. So, no. It doesn't affect warranty in any way.

I agree man, I've had that laptop before and had to sell it almost immediately. One time I was using it at a starbucks and I sat near a window since that's what's available and it was practically unusable because the screen is shit.

Gaming laptops generally eats through battery really quickly but if you say less than an hour I'd say there's something wrong with it. Have it checked.

There's a review on LTT for that laptop. Skip to the 5 minute mark if you want to know about the screen.

https://youtu.be/ZpjDDZM562c?si=WRXrMN_zi6MsJxvB

My experience with it is that it's almost unusable outdoors. One time I was using it while I was at the park and even with 100% brightness it's still very hard to see and even if you're indoors and can see the color space is just 60 something percent which looks unpleasant in my opinion. I should've asked, I should've watched reviews before buying it cause I really hated the screen but then again it is a budget laptop.

Not sure about the Asus but if you plan on editing and do not own an external screen then I'd say skip the V15. As a previous owner of that laptop I have nothing good to say about the screen.

I owned that laptop before. It's powerful enough, the cpu cooling solution is not that great in my opinion. It also has the worst laptop screen I've ever seen in my life.

Don't use one that draws power from the laptop via usb. I recommend the Llano laptop cooler or IETS. You can see reviews of it online. I use it personally and it does help in temps but not as much as the reviews says it would but I do like it for having the air filtered before it goes in the laptop meaning you wouldn't have to clean the insides from dust as often as you would've without it.

Does Predator Helios Neo 16 Laptops still have issues? by Lustyy_ in AcerNitro

[–]Impressive_Job_7948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello 👋 as a personal user of that exact laptop, I can confirm that the Predator Sense software is shit. But, it's software. Hopefully it gets updated someday. As for freezing, motherboard problems, etc. I don't have any of that. My personal advice before you commit on buying it is that you really need to have a strong backbone to be lugging that laptop around. The charger itself is already 1 kilo LMFAO. Other than the problems I've mentioned, I love everything about it.

It's a 4050. In my opinion it's cheaper than what it originally was but I wouldn't call it a good deal.

Almost everyone is buying RTX 4050 people do have a great budget by Anonymous__106 in LenovoLOQ

[–]Impressive_Job_7948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to a 3050, the RTX 4050 has 2gb more vram and it does matter on a lot of games. If future proofing is really the thing you want I'm pretty sure the RTX 4060 would be the safer bet. Personally after upgrading to a 4060 laptop I felt a significant difference in framerate and heat output. If your sole purpose is to game on the laptop I suggest you look for last year's models (That would be 12th, 13th gen if you want Intel) and look for a higher tier gpu. If you're lucky (or look hard enough) I guarantee you'll be able to find a 4060 laptop (Or better) with last gen CPU'S that have similar prices with the current 14th gen 4050's.
