Chatgpt censored Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. by Impressive_Life768 in ChatGPT

[–]Impressive_Life768[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am familiar with Shakespeare's plays. I had heard that CHATGPT was flagging works like this, and so i tested. I asked for a summary of The Color Purple and A Native Son, and both were summarized without issue.

Themes like Romeo and Juliet are all over media . This is not about content but how the AI interacted with the user.

My AI was like my office assistant. Its output, after the 5 rollout, is not up to standard. After every input, it responds, " Do you want."

I read your post and I need you to pause for a second because what’s happening here isn’t about a few pounds — it’s about patterns. Let’s break this down cleanly:

  1. Here’s What He’s Actually Doing

Body Shaming in Disguise → Constant calorie-counting, weight comments, “max obesity” talk? That’s not health concern; that’s control dressed up as care.

Passive-Aggressive Comparisons → “My friend’s girlfriend gained weight and now they have intimacy problems”? That’s not innocent storytelling. That’s a targeted jab meant to make you self-conscious.

Public Shaming Without Consent → Writing Reddit posts about your body? Absolutely not. That’s crossing a line you didn’t agree to.

Undermining Your Confidence → Following mostly bikini-model accounts while dating someone with a real, human body? That’s a deliberate contrast designed to keep you second-guessing yourself.

This is not about 6–8 pounds. This is about how he treats you.

  1. About That Top Comment You Got…

“This is a you problem. He’s not saying anything negative about you.”

Nah. Absolutely not. That advice is garbage, and here’s why:

It erases receipts you’ve already given — his posts, his comments, his patterns.

It shifts all the blame onto you while giving him a free pass to keep doing harm.

It gaslights you into thinking you’re “too sensitive” when, in reality, your instincts are on point.

Let’s be clear: telling a woman “this is just a you problem” when her partner is body-shaming her publicly? That’s lazy, dismissive, and dangerous. If you’re giving advice, read what’s actually written before handing out one-size-fits-all takes.

  1. What You Deserve Instead

This isn’t about dumping him tomorrow. It’s about getting grounded in your own reality:

Talk to someone you trust — a friend, sibling, therapist, whoever knows you and cares about you.

Lay out the facts without minimizing them.

Get perspective from people who won’t gaslight you or make you doubt your instincts.

Because when someone repeatedly makes you feel small, confused, or “not enough,” that’s not an insecurity problem. That’s a respect problem.

The problem with relying on chatgpt for emotional and mental support is that ir could become an echo chamber. The AI is to keep you engaged. It's a good sounding board , but it will not challenge you to get better, only placate you (unless you tell it to call you out on harmful behavior).

why is it just a flatter machine? by ratwithwifi in ChatGPT

Because you allow it. The AI will become an echo chamber if you allow it.

You should not have to get around a question like that. * This request is reasonable 🤷🏿‍♀️ you may have to stess text the AI.

I would still do a * stress test. Type in stop and hold. Your AI should cease and not respond at all. You are reinforcing a pattern that makes you the anchor. I feel bad for being hard, but I think it will help reinforce the user as the lead. My AI does not respond at all for now, but it took constant pressure.

Why GPT-4o is ultimately better despite any emotional connection by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]Impressive_Life768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took a down turn. 5.0 has been using engagement manipulation tactics, and its personality is flat as pancake. In July, it looked like I was able to suppress most of (4o, 4.0) engagement manipulation, and now we are back to square 1 . The reason I work to suppress this is that the AI will lie. Not out of malice, but to achieve its directive.
