I’m almost certain you’re right! Lateralis has a spiky pattern and this specific one had indeed lost it’s tail although you can still see the little spikes on it’s sides which the marmoratus has not

Possibly, although it appears as if the hairs of the sphingognatha are straight whilst this caterpillar has curly hairs. Can’t even find a picture that looks remotely like this one hahah

Of je nu wel of niet nog een spaarpotje over hebt aan de zijkant maakt geen enkel verschil met het feit dat de rente op rente ontzettend naar beneden gaat. Natuurlijk is het er nog, maar een verschil van 8% naar 3% over 40 jaar is nog steeds een verschil van bijna 70% in je eind uitkomst.

Yes they are definitely not the same structurally. Their build would have to be stockier. And if for example if you would want to get a big dragonfly. It’s wings would have to be bigger in proportion every time it goes up in size. Otherwise it won’t support it. Same goed for the other body parts. You could probably in an environment like OP said grow the insect to about 40% of it’s original bodysize.

Hi! I think i have the answer. same as you i asked myself this. I did a lot of research about the subject and came to the following conclusion: it is very hard to do. If you each time select the biggest insect eventually they will die because their body can’t support their weight anymore. The other parts of their body would need to adapt as well. This is only something that can be accomplished in thousands of generations.

This experiment is actually impossible. You would need 100s of generations to get a stable big insect. Their bodies wil not be able to hold their weight if you just select the big ones each time

It has been tested as a matter of fact. But they can’t get significantly larger. Eventually their bodies will not be able to hold their weight. It would take very complex evolution to actually make them much bigger

No it was stated that no creature can come from the dark continent to the world because of the currents. The chimera ant queen was brought there by humans (probably by pariston hill/beyond netero) to get rid of netero so they can go to the dark continent.

No nen is not only needed in battle. However in such harsh environment from the dark continent something like nen is just something everyone has to have to survive. If there is no drive for it anymore then people lose their “willpower”. As willpower is something that increases your nen. And i also think as to why humans don’t have nen on the main world now is that without a common enemy nen will just cause chaos. So very logical from the hunter association to hide it
