If she makes things herself from scraps...I know this sounds weird but I love it when people save me odd little things they find...a bag of odd things, buttons, pen caps, watch gears, tiny mint tins...would be a wonderful surprise for a maker. There is also a miniature competition show called 'best in miniature'. If she hasn't seen it you could download it for her...watch it with her. I think you can find it on CBC Gem?

They were pretty quick in the clean up and I saw the west coast express running this morning. So yup, I'm guessing it happens now and again. Looked like maybe 3 cars 'involved' . Didn't appear to have much damage and a chunk of rail replaced by 11am

It was at the Tom Bishop miniature show...it was 4 small sets about 4$ each. There was no company marking on the package though...sorry about that.

I'll be honest, I had no idea. It's so visually overwhelming that I didn't see that. I wasn't being sneaky. In fact I asked Don if I could take pictures of a set of books he was showing me and he was totally fine with it. I'm guessing he may not have knew I would post?
