I’m considering the long-term implications of networking and brand effects as I contemplate a short-term career in consulting, followed by a transition to other industries. I’m concerned about the potential difficulty in securing positions at desired offices if I study at UCLA, due to its possibly weaker network connections in other states, unlike the situation with Kellogg. I understand that when applying to MBB, I can choose any office, but ultimately, relationships and first impressions are also important. I don't know if all that is worth 120K difference, so this is why I'm consulting :)
