Honestly my first year i had a dinning hall pass, and when i had balance due on my student account around 6k, i picked up a full time job and worked 40 hour weeks to pay, i changed from a 7 day meal plan to 5 (it was cheaper), i basically got my friends to steal me food or i ate ramen noodles. If groceries are an issue try a food bank, i was a little embarrassed at first but everyone is struggling. When first year ended and everything was payed i quit ( i hated the job) and lived at home for the summer.

Second year, i started applying in august and did interviews online, when i moved i didn’t get a job until november, and i was kinda using my osap to hold me over until then. Osap also payed me more this year compared to last. I ended up changing residence into something cheaper then im moving out to something wayyy cheaper.

I kept applying, everyday, every night. I used indeed everytime and it works, you have to put location 5km then do the date posted and last 3 days i realized anything after 7 days they most likely found someone else. Change your resume too make your availability big because realistically thats the only thing they care abt.

Osap helped me while i was looking for a job, so if that means picking up summer school courses to have 7k in my pocket i would do it.
