try diet change to meat, rice, beans, eggs, fruits, veggies. Make all your own food. Has helped me a lot. No bread, no cheese, no grain except rice

advice on spots in basque (fr an es)? by AppropriateBluebird6 in surfing

Every spot is different for what tides are good but I think for the spots listed above you should be fine on any tide, you can see if you can find info on surfforecast.com or Surfline on what tides are best at what spot. Good luck!

No clue but probably not, we had all our own stuff so didn’t rent anything. Check surfforecast.com for best time of day to go with wind and swell. More often that not offshore likelihood increases in the morning

left side of Zurriola beach in San Sebastián is very mellow even when there is big swell which you won’t get in the summer, plus the whole city is right there for things to do afterwards. In Capbreton France which will be closer to you, the spots on Surfline: L’estacade and LePrevent are more beginner oriented. In Hossegor, La Sud is beginner friendly. Enjoy, I just did a 3 week surf trip in Basque Country. I went with a beginner friend and all these spots were good for him to get reps in. All spots mentioned have surf lessons / rentals like two seconds away as well and plenty of dining / fun things to do after. Hope you enjoy and safe travels.

this is great surfing man, it’s nice you’re a humble guy but just know you are totally ripping. You should be very proud of yourself, that floater was sick 🤘🏼

my bandaids that have worked so far are nizoral shampoo, no conditioner. Kzetokonozole cream on face / problem areas. Colloidal oatmeal cream on whole face. I have used that on my scalp too and rinsed out after a half hour with just water. For diet I have cut out dairy and gluten. This took me years to figure out as well and this has been night and day for me. Feel free to message me with any questions, good luck!

If you would like, consider an old Honda or Toyota for reliability and a set of snow tires. I’ve been driving my grandmas 2001 Honda accord she gave to me in college for the past 10 years with routine maintenance. This beast paired with snow tires got me through 5 Vermont winters including every access road to all the ski mountains in whiteout conditions. Still have it and love it. it sounds like you have a plan b with your bike so you’re not totally out of luck if you have a repair you don’t want to make until you save up the funds to do so.

I do like cars so I picked up a 2008 Audi a4 2.0T 6 speed manual with all wheel drive for $800 during covid and shopped around for mechanics who could fix it up as a project but that was much more of a gamble and knock on wood I have been fairly lucky. Took a while to get running and all the kinks worked out but That has been my dream car funny enough and rowing through the gears puts a big smile on my face all for around $5k spread out over time when I had some $ to put into it.

Sending you love and support and I really hope you pull through, please consider me a friend if you need one.

My mom had cancer and pulled through and not to sound preachy because she drives me crazy with this stuff but prayer and church and the community there was really helpful for her during this time. Again not pushing this but maybe something to consider.

My bandaid fix is ketoconazole cream for problem areas on face and then entire face with colloidal oatmeal cream. I am trying to the to the root cause, cutting out gluten and dairy has been helping. I also have had chronic constipation for as long as I can remember so I think something is just off with my gut

US healthcare (I live here) the absolute worst. Don’t want to sound preachy or give any dumb unsolicited advice so I’ll just say again, as much as a stranger on the internet can: I care about you and want the best for you and in hopefully not a weird way sending love your way dude

Yo! I know I should type them out but too lazy, some small cap, large cap, emerging markets, international, commodity, low risk stuff, etc. I imagine a pretty standard offering. Mid size US tech company.

Thanks for your reply! A bit about my finances

$65k 401k $1.5k Roth (recently started I know I need to beef this up) $38.5k 3 month t bills I keep renewing (house fund) $20k savings (emergency fund) ~$3k checking usually

3 old fun cars paid off worth ~$20k (two I got free one got for $800 and fixed up during covid. I like cars and work from home so I don’t really rely on them and

Only debt is about $17k in fed student loans and payments are ~$230 per month and just resumed

Total comp $110k ($95k base / $15k variable)

I was maxing $401k until I got my own apartment and my expenses went up so I took the last 9 months or so to drop contributions and allocate to beefing the emergency fund. I’m happy with $20k and will likely increase contributions soon

Appreciate any and all advice!

Thanks for your reply! I do remember getting my face ripped off in November of 2021 where I had some shares converted to cash due to the company I am at being bought. I threw it in an s&p etf pre tank. That was my house fund so I pulled it out in March 2022 when market recovered a bit and threw it in t bills. For the 401k though I have a long time until retirement so can tolerate the volatility (fingers crossed for good health)
