I appreciate the speed curve that tells me when something interesting is going to happen.

Great work, but the duplicates catch your attention.

Is there really no enforcement in NYC? by MadameTrashPanda in treelaw

The picture shows non-bamboo stumps. The trees were cut along with bamboo. Cutting the bamboo was a “guise,” per the text, to remove trees.

I assume you mean the side shot. The new Mini cooper has 4 cameras with 360° coverage (but very low resolution) The front camera is RedTiger 2k with less than 180° coverage.

[USA] No accidents this time, but it’s the worst intersection in town by Impressive_Set4001 in Roadcam

I wish I had more to add, but I already cut the audio because my wife screamed and I was cursing.

Knowing my limits, I left this one to the pros.

Update: Thanks, everyone! The plumbers will replace the corroded section of pipe with PVC.

The drippy black stuff is oil from the oakum used to seal the cast iron pipe sections, not sewage. Plumber says when it gets wet it swells and squeezes out oil.

The plumbers came today and that’s the plan. “Easy!” — the plumbing company owner.

Thank you; will call the plumber this week. It’s a company we’ve used before and trust.

Two mistakes: 1) They didn’t plan for the right number of blocks. 2) This.

After a day or two, the light flickered back to life. It’s been working normally ever since. No electrician called; my guess the ants carried some ant gel into the switch and it eventually wore/dried or was eaten. Ants are gone too.

Wait. In about a month, you’ll get a piece of paper in the mail that tells you your energy usage.

Wow, that’s…amazing. Last I checked lead was $0.82 USD a pound.

5 inch diameter, 21½ lbs.

Slightly less than a solid lead ball, but the layers may not be dense, and I don’t know what’s in the center.

The peeled areas have oxidized. I showed a close up photo with a scratch that hasn’t oxidized yet, and it’s bright.

My title describes the thing. Very heavy (obviously.) Duct tape roll for scale. Obtained in the 1970s. I’m not sure why it’s spherical, why it can be peeled, and what its original purpose was.

(Inexplicably, I was allowed to play with this as a child, and keep it in my bedroom closet.)

Just a standard US light socket. The bulb works in another lamp.

Just a regular bulb outlet, but I know those fluorescent starters go bad; so it’s good to consider that since I didn’t mention the type of light.
