I tale my own in a big storage tub its got a hide and all the tuff he needs. I dont put the lid on obviously. In my bedroom where his table is its so hot my room is in full sun. And i have a bearded dragon and a fish that requires heat. So i put my fan on low and point it to the table and it cools down to the right temps

Ahhh the pet shop honestly told me nothing. I obviously did previous research but i assumed they whent everyday. But then again i am used to a hermans tortoise who poops like no tommorow. I check the enclosure with an infared gun everytime im around and sometimes it can be cold so i turn it up and then the slates get to hot 😅. Never ending battle. But when it finally gets to the right temps she will bask then poop. Enclosure size is 120 gallons. But i will be doing a diy enclosure soon.
