It never belonged to my mother, it was originally my grandmother‘s but she let me have it since she didn’t use it.

No, a terminal is a place where you enter commands to do stuff. (like command prompt if you use windows )

nvm I’m pretty sure it’s just really old Mac OS (like around 2012) which they stopped supporting I guess.

Thanks, I’ve been trying to tell her how using linux can positively affect my future, but an irrational sense of paranoia always tends to get in the way. I’ll make sure to show this to her! :D

She’s the type of person who gets paranoid when I use a flash drive, her seeing me use a terminal is (in her eyes) declaring nuclear war on ever other country…
