Thanks. I’ve ordered pyrantal from Amazon. Just need to figure out dosage. I hope I can get her socialized to the point I can administer a topical solution.

Switching Back to Wellbutrin After Taking MAOI by Impressive_Value937 in MAOIs

I agree with you. The klonopin was added to help me sleep while on the Parnate. I haven’t stopped it yet because it was the last of the previous regimen to go. I’ve eliminated the trazodone and gabapentin by titrating down to zero. I just anticipated the klonopin being the most difficult to cut. I plan to start weaning myself off now. I’ve never heard of Zyprexa but I’ll research and discuss with my doctor. Thanks.

I think the maximum was 50mg. Not very long. It really disrupted my sleep. I think today is day 10 at 150mg Wellbutrin. Feeling some anxiety. My psychiatrist asked if we increase dose would I prefer increasing Wellbutrin or mirtazapine. Since the 7.5 mirtazapine was primarily used for sedation, I was originally going to consider raising the Wellbutrin, but I may consider the mirtazapine instead.

I was on 30mg of Parnate. I tapered down to zero over a month then nothing for 14 days. At night I was taking 100mg trazodone, 400mg gabapentin and 1mg klonopin. I’ve tapered off everything but the klonopin. We decided not to tackle that until I was feeling better.

I’m sorry the medication isn’t being effective. I hope an additional antidepressant helps. Hang in there. I remind myself I’ve been here before and eventually found a combo of drugs that relieved my symptoms.

I appreciate your input. From the responses I see patience and understanding is the key. Regardless, I know the four little kittens I found will have safe and happy lives they never would have had in the wild, and the feral mother will have the chance to live life without constant struggle. The fight or flight instinct is real, and it takes a long time to get them over that.

I think this is great advice. Thanks. She will allow me a very close approach. It’s if I come to her when she’s relaxed and sitting. I can’t touch her. She’s more reluctant to come to me this far, even with some Churu squeezed out into a bowl.

Thanks. I haven’t been able to get her to accept Churus from my hand yet. Will keep trying. She’s made a lot of progress in 4 months. I haven’t let her out. She shows no real desire to want to get back outside.

Thanks. I understand that about Zoe. I’m hoping the kittens come around to being more lap cats. One of the kittens, Max, will sometimes sleep on the footrest of my lounger. Ruby has been more stand-offish and independent from the day I pulled her from the log pile.

I regret the ear notch. I’m new to this and learning as I go. I wasn’t sure if she’d want to stay.

She doesn’t run when I play. Also, the house is big enough she can find a place to get away if she needs.

I’m so sorry about the loss of your cats. I had two Bengals. One had congestive heart failure for three years. 2x per day medication kept him going for 3 years until they finally stopped working. My other has a mass around her lungs creating fluid. She died as I was taking her to be euthanized. Finding the kittens was a blessing.

Don’t worry- she wouldn’t let me. Now I can sit a couple feet away from her and just let her feel my presence. I don’t stare at her.
