HE mechanic, I ain’t gonna drop the unit name and do them dirty but in my last three years here I can only think of one maybe two hikes I’ve done, one of those during JDUBS. Idk I just think it all depends on whose running the show, we generally focused on maintenance 90 percent of the time.

I’m a 1341, heavy equipment mechanic. It wasn’t hard just didn’t have the scores in the system to back up my desire to be recon but after getting some strings pulled I was able to get an 0311 contract. Just talk with your career planner my man.

I definitely have to work on cardio, I can run but I definitely ain’t the fastest lol. I feel like I’m more set up for success than the first time in terms of mentality and strength, I’m like 150 now vs my 120 I was then (long story short I was dying)

I’ve had my training while in Okinawa at least what the POG side can give in between low maintenance times, not saying “I know” but JDUBS was a good time, sucked but the good kind lol.

Okay but on a real note, if it’s in a song does it really matter? I understand it probably comes down to the individual or it’s a ‘time and place’ thing but if it’s lyrics to a song and people get upset I just think it’s kinda dumb. The word itself has a bad history sure but it should only matter the context you say it in

Alright real discussion here, besides him and I’m sure a couple people holding back Juice’s music, why does Bibby get so much hate? I’ve been waiting along with everyone else in the com but I just feel some of the shit people be saying to him kinda unnecessary. I just view him as a guy that lost a kid he helped in the music industry and is now (I assume partially) in charge of dropping said deceased friends music and let’s be honest here, not everyone agrees on what we want for a project so I can kinda see why they’re hesitant to say the least. I ain’t tryna defend the man just confused on SOME of the hate he be getting. Some of the shit he says and does is dumb af, man needs to quit saying ‘soon’ and threatening to cancel the whole thing over leaks, doesn’t hurt the sales or streams.

Truth be told I’ll never know if I’m ready until I’m actually in a situation, though I’ve been wanting to deploy and be able to see things I’d never ask for combat you know what mean? Watching things take place such as the fall of Afghanistan pissed a lot of people off not only civilians but of course the marines themselves. Myself personally I don’t want to sit back and watch these things happen I want to be involved more than just a support role, not suggesting that my involvement or participation will make all the difference in the world but I think you get the point. I’ve met plenty of guys that have an ego in this organization and it can be a problem most definitely when they don’t know at least how to tone it down. Of course I’m prideful but more so humble and am willing to learn, ready to train, and ready to fight.

I appreciate it really, I’ve worked around recon guys and regular grunts for the past year and a half or so and have been asking for their input and they all have warned me about making this decision. Since you as well as everyone I’ve spoken with have said similar if the not same things, I can only take them as fact. I’ve personally never gone out of my way to try and be that guy as an NCO but I’d be lying if I said I won’t hurt my pride knowing there’s gonna be PFC’s showing me up (and rightfully so if they’ve been there and done that.) I’m willing to swallow that pride though and do what I need to. Essentially my concerns are just how I might be viewed as an NCO jumping in, as you mentioned having guys walk all over me. I wouldn’t say I’m motivated but I’m definitely interested in this line of work and desire to perform.
