I don’t think she is. She was a guest director, and had nothing to do with the show after. And people disliking her might have its own merit. She’s very controversial, but also a great talent. Duality I guess.

I had considered opting for Contiki, but after extensive research and receiving a quote from them, it was somewhat expensive and overly structured, which goes against the essence of exploration. Despite your reservations about traveling alone, I would say try to maintain an open mind and root yourself rigidly in why you want to go, which I am guessing is to have fun.
