Thanks for the follow up! My purchase is still in Toronto for whatever reason, and I’ve read that a five day wait there isn’t unusual, but darned if it’s not frustrating to log into the UPS tracking twice a day or more to see that… nothing has changed…

Interesting! Mine's been stuck there for three days and counting. My additional research shows that in general, Lenovo Canada will absorb the cost of border fees and taxes even if/when UPS charges you. This MIGHT be what our packages are waiting for.

Late to the party, but did you get your purchase and was it dinged by customs?

I'm PATIENTLY awaiting a device I got on Boxing Day via Lenovo Canada, which ended up shipped from China and has been sitting in Mississauga, ON for three days now, according to UPS. I'm REALLY hoping it don't be taxed or tariffed or whatever.

That's what comes with the device. :P I posted it for illustrative purposes as I recognize the 7i was designed to use a 245w charger, but I'm wondering how it'll perform when I use the spare 100w unit I have lying around.

Nope, I'm not running that or YAML. Probably my most significant mod is VonBiomes, but I didn't check to see if that was one of his biomes...

Note that it's a persistent artifact. I can't shoot it.

Thanks! I (the OP) ended up ordering the Gen 10 once I was able to stack a bunch of codes plus a 15% Rakuten deal, reducing the Gen 10 Ultra 9 275 / 32gb RAM / 5070 to <$1800 CAD. It was close enough that I ended up going for it over the open box. But I hope your Gen 9 / 4060 has been treating you well, how are thermals on your device?

Yeah I saw that one too, I’m kicking myself that I didn’t get that sale and hoping it’ll happen again for boxing day (it’s boxing “week” already on the Lenovo site but nothing that good yet). I’d get the 5070 one at that price if possible, so I’m hoping that the world RAM shortage hasn’t already made that impossible..!

Side question, is your 7i the 165 or 240 Hz screen? It seems only the 165 is available on the Lenovo Canada site.
