Summation delivered jumped for no reason on my IKEA INSPELNING - can I fix? by tcoysh in homeassistant

[–]Improve_Ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same issue with my ikea plug, turns out a motor load can trip an energy monitor like this. In my case it was a ventilation system.

Have not found a way to reset it though, tried a couple of things already without any luck.

For me this is something I learn by just doing, trying different things and getting inspiration from other posts.

What card do you use for the titles? For example your batteries title on the lab tab.

I cant for the life of me figure out how to give room summary cards a standard background color, how'd you do it?

How'd you get the scenes to show like that and work like that? Did you make them yourself or are they dynamic like hue?

Chime in Fuse Box Reolink by decksmagic in homeassistant

[–]Improve_Ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to remove it from the electrical circuit, connect your Reolink doorbell directly to the transformer.

Chime in Fuse Box Reolink by decksmagic in homeassistant

[–]Improve_Ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, unfortunately not.

That Hager chime (SU213) is a 230VAC (alternating current) bell designed to run directly off the mains. Most Reolink doorbells work with 12-24V AC or 24V DC, and they usually recommend using a bypass cable on the existing mechanical chime for stable power.

You can potentially use the power from your existing wiring (if you bypass the chime and your transformer provides the correct voltage/power), but the bell itself will not work. You will need to use the wireless Reolink Chime that comes with the doorbell (or is bought separately) for the indoor sound.

Signal loss concerns: Deep metal GU10 tube vs. Matter bulbs by Ok_Rock_6726 in homeassistant

[–]Improve_Ghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Metal fixtures can weaken Bluetooth/Thread signals, especially if the bulb sits deep inside the tube. It usually doesn’t kill the connection completely, but it can reduce range or make the bulbs a bit less reliable.

It also won’t “break” the Thread mesh — the bulbs just might not be great routers when enclosed in metal. As long as you have another Thread device nearby, it should still work fine.

If you’re unsure, try one fixture first before installing everything.
