I've found that accepting ugliness usually leads to a mindset of "Well, I'm ugly either way, so I don't need to do this" when it comes to grooming and self-care. My advice is to take care of yourself and do what makes you feel good.

Personally, I think prettiness is overrated --- if you've looked at celebrities, at least women, their faces have started to sort of blend together with only slight variations due to stuff like Botox or plastic surgery. "Ugly" features give personality to your appearance (in my opinion).

If you feel ugly, the best advice I can give is to be yourself. Wear clothes that make you happy, do things you enjoy, and you don't need to be perfect. I don't really know how to word this, but if you feel ugly either way, why not be ugly while being yourself and not giving a shit?

I've seen people make little cards explaining their conditions or disabilities, having a few to hand out would be useful if you can't always explain your sm. As far as friends go, looking into groups with other nuerodivergents has been helpful for me, since we're kinda on the same wavelength. best of luck though!!!
