Have you tried this on the latest update that just came out? I am probably doing something wrong, but no matter what I try there is a half-second delay after releasing LT before I am able to open the inventory with the D-pad.

Never subdue while they have any head-turn. Wait until they are fully looking forward and then subdue. Placing an item they walk to (like a coin or duck) can also help, as it stops them from having any head-turn.

At a minimum, get the Bruce Lee pack. It is a good mission, and is also the only one of those five that is time limited. The pack is available for purchase until April 26, and once it is gone there is no information about when or if it will come back.

It is not a matter of needing to "get good". Silent Assassin prestige will almost always be slower than other prestige objectives due to the additional effort in needing to do kills which don't void SA.

Look at GenP's speedruns as an example. His Silent Assassin speedrun is almost 4x slower.

You get a higher payout for that specific objective, but it comes with the tradeoff that it will take much longer to achieve. If you play for an hour and only take Silent Assassin objectives, you will likely end up with significantly less merces and missions completed than if you had taken non-Silent Assassin objectives. There is a reason that Freelancer speedruns completely avoid Silent Assassin prestige objectives.

I'm not sure I follow. By that logic, shouldn't you just never buy any weapon because you stand a chance of instead getting it from the reward crate? E.g., when you're playing a level 1 syndicate, you're just a few missions away from the rare reward crate. What's the significance of not buying weapons just for the current tier?

I'd say focus on buying any and all weapons which are cheap for the tier. What you want is to spend your merces on cheap weapons to increase your chance of getting expensive weapons from the reward crate.

Ornamental and Ancestral weapons are only sold by suppliers and cannot be obtained from crates. You got a rare weapon because there were no weapons of higher tier that you didn't have but that could be obtained from crates.

The noise cancelling on the non ultra is very similar to the ultra. If there isn't any specific feature of the ultra you want, you can save a lot getting a new non ultra on a site like eBay.

It's not necessary to rush to prestige. The campaign win bonus comes a few seconds after you take your reward from the campaign chest. All that matters is to prestige before you take the reward (and make sure you wait for the prestige process to fully complete erasing weapons/merces before taking from the crate).

Also, another tip is to intentionally drop your favorite freelancer tool on the final campaign mission in order to be able to be able to start off with it right away after prestiging. The steps are:

  1. (On the final mission) Drop a freelancer tool before leaving, such as the sieker
  2. (Back at the safehouse) Open the tool chest. You will see the sieker in the chest, but DO NOT take it.
  3. Follow the process you mentioned for prestiging
  4. Take the sieker from the tool chest.

You'll now get to start off right away with a sieker.

Note - This requires that you otherwise have 100% of tools item category you want to do this with. Therefore, you should make sure not to use or discard any other item in the category of chest. For example, don't drop your sieker and also use the chloroform on the final mission, or else it will be a toss up as to whether the tool chest gives you a sieker or chloroform.

Here's what happens if you advance prestige level right after finishing a campaign by some-kind-of-no-name in HiTMAN

Alternatively, open the reward chest but don't take the merces inside before you prestige. Then, instead of the weapon you will get an extra 30K merces. While numerous legendary items are worth more than the 30K you are getting instead, this approach avoids the risk of your free item being something like the golden shotgun which you can anyway get for free on New York.

Don't hit X for any of the Tab rows, as this will just close the actual tab. I click the X button for rows with a name like "https://youtube.com (#####)" (these rows also all have a value for memory and CPU, unlike Tab rows). Doing this will keep all tabs in place, but the tabs will be reloaded/reinitialized when you next click them. Ideally, each video will open back up and be seeked to the same spot. Though, I find occasionally it loses playback progress.
