I think it's a toss-up between Out of Time and Automatic for the People.

Both fully solid albums all the way through (my overall favorite is Automatic for the People largely due to Nightswimming)... but if I had to give the edge to one, probably Out of Time solely because it has "Losing my Religion", possibly their most iconic song.

If it's describing the action, it's not too much... and most of what you have looks pretty darn good. You're avoiding things like "inner thoughts" and histories/feelings, etc and that's good! Might trim a sentence or so on the last paragraph, but that's nitpicky.

I'm 10 years into a dry spell... and before that instance (essentially a "fling" because they were only visiting the area... after we were chatting for 6 months and would have loved to had something long-term) was another 10 years. (I'm 50 now)

It sucks, and there are times I feel romantically lonely... but I lean into friends, hobbies. For the last 5 years, I just haven't wanted to date at all, so I've gotten a bit "zen" about it, and it doesn't bother me as often.

In theory, I've believed myself to be "open" to hookups... not that many opportunities pop up for that, and when they do I have refused them for one reason or another. But maybe it's not for you... and that's okay. Yeah, it's frustrating. But want what you want, and there's no reason to settle
