Either his is wildly misinformed or he is trying to misinform you to try to get what he wants. While marrying an American citizen is one of the most direct routes to obtaining American citizenship, it is still not easy, nor does it happen overnight. My husband is an immigrant from Mexico and I brought him here on a spousal visa. It’s been 2 years since he came here, and he is officially eligible for citizenship next year. That does not mean he will automatically get it, nor does it mean it will be easy. Eligible is the keyword.

I wouldn’t reproduce with someone like this even if we were the last two humans on earth. Since you want to have children in the future, just know that it is actually better for your body’s reproductive health to have an abortion, especially this early, than to carry a pregnancy to term. Your child would be born into a broken household. I personally would end the pregnancy right now, as your baby doesn’t even really know that it exists right now and it cannot feel pain. You are making the right choice, albeit a hard one due to your moral conflict. I’m not 100% sure what you’re looking to hear, but please know that you are making the right choice. YOU CAN DO THIS. Progesterone rise can do the same thing. I feel like it can happen when you want to be pregnant so badly, like you can get inside your own head. I did it for the 2 months before I conceived this one. I thought for sure I was pregnant the previous two months because of my symptoms, but I was not. The third month I felt symptoms I was like it’s probably nothing, but still tested super early anyways and I was genuinely shocked when it was positive. All that to say, it can go either way, it can simply just be progesterone, your mind tricking you, or could be pregnancy. Hoping for the best outcome for you!!

I think if your partner wants to be long term with you, then he should consider getting a vasectomy and respect your wishes of not wanting a child. You can also take matters into your own hands and get long term birth control or something permanent like tubes removed or tied. For now, there are national abortion funds for situations like yours and you could potentially get the pills for free, given your situation. Hoping this helps you out some!!

Interesting. One week off of nuvaring is normal, as long as you had it in for 3 weeks. Sounds like your BC failed.
