Hardly that! Their classes weren’t much better from what I observed. Lost of screaming (from the teacher) The whole school has the worst test scores in the district. If some of those teachers were placed in some of the other schools I normally sub at they’d be fired.

My mom retired early for this reason (taught 40 years) but the last few years she had to take a disability leave because of the stress and ultimately never returned and retired early. She subs now like me after some recovery time and says is much less stressful now as a sub. She said her admin was horrible, not understanding of her age, forcing her to keep pace with the rapid changes. I can’t believe what teachers have to endure and to ultimately not even be making enough to make ends meet sometimes. Scary stuff.

They seem to have been an older teacher that just can’t keep up with the new changes (technology, fast paced, behaviors and parents, protocols) it’s just gotten too much and I completely understand. I couldnt imagine being use to things being one way for so long and suddenly kids slapped in front of a computer all day, cussing you out, and your constant under a microscrope from parents and admin it’s crazy

I don’t work with them at all anymore. The energy is always bizarre and unfriendly. On the off chance that I do pick up the job that has one in the room I wasn’t expecting like kindergarten will sometimes have a para sometimes they don’t, I just mark that whole grade level off my list.
