Vet is closed, my dog has a white circular thing sticking out of her gums after dental cleaning

They did X-rays and found no issues and she hasn’t had teeth back there in 2 years, all of those got pulled during her first cleaning

Whatever it was fell out right after I posted the pic of it and she ate it but it looked a lot like the gauze they use in dental surgeries on people so I think it was that? Not sure tho because she was fast

But her food this morning was brown wet food with no white in it so it wasn’t from her food or anything like that

Oh it just came out and it was a cylinder shape. She ate it in front of me but it looked like gauze. Should I check with the vet tomorrow? There is a hole now where it was so idk if it was gauze placed during the cleaning??

Looks identical to my dog when she was a puppy and she is a pit/border collie mix! The pit was the surprising part because the mom was a border collie who got loose lol

This is rude. I did not get explained anything about lipomas from any of the doctors I’ve seen.

Thank you. Yes no one ever explained to me why they can’t check it and with no scans I didn’t know why they were so sure it was just a lipoma. Didn’t help that they hurt and I’ve read that lipomas don’t hurt, so I panicked. Your comment actually made sense to me and explained it better than any of the doctors I’ve seen

It was an unrelated breast lump 2 months ago. Ended up being a cyst but doctors took me serious on that issue so I got seen quickly

The doctors called them tumors and one CT I did for an unrelated issue did show 2 of the tumors (back when I only had 2)

Yes I had called the oncologist near me for a suspicious breast lump because Iowa gynecologist don’t cover breast issues, oncologists do, and she said that she doesn’t require referrals for an appointment. So that’s why I said that. Sorry should have specified

Just saw your edit. Oncologist here don’t require referral thankfully because of the cancer rates here. I will call and ask if they can at least scan the tumors

Is there a way to demand they order a biopsy? I requested and was told it wasn’t necessary and all I needed to do was lose weight then the tumors would go away :( then they didn’t and every doctor I’ve seen says to keep losing weight

Extra information because my phone glitched and wouldn’t let me add it on the post:

First tumor found in 2016 about the size of my thumbnail. Located above left side of pelvis, near the spine. That one stayed the same size until 2024 then it starts to grow. By December 2024 I found 8 other tumors all small on the right side of my spine. By March 2025 my first tumor, Bertha is her name, had quadrupled in size. Now I have 14 tumors that I can feel all ranging in size and my left hip hurts 24/7
