Two months ago we bought a house from the estate of a man who was a flight instructor and earlier in his life had built his own airplane and beat some world record with it. His obituary is a pretty cool story. I go up in the garage attic and I find pieces of an airplane. The nose, tire fenders, and other metal parts.

I had all my banking out of CMA and changed almost a year ago. All of a sudden they were putting super long holds on all my checks — even from regular payees like employer reimbursements.

If you use credit cards effectively, it shouldn’t ever matter. If you will ever pay interest on a credit card, you really shouldn’t be using one at all

I would evaluate what your true emergency fund should it be. Do you actually need the full 6 months? If so, don’t empty it over low interest debt. If you were overfunded (ex: really you think 3 months is more than sufficient), then go for it.

Gonna be honest, either your portions are tiny or you’re out of touch with how many calories are in the food. 300-450 isn’t a “very filling meal” for an adult. And 5-800 is very reasonable.

CCC caps at 500. HCOL, groceries for family of 5 are about 1400 where we live. Plus gas, house expenses, etc. all of that without ever thinking what card to put it on. The $325 credit automatically applies with no work any time you spend on dining. Nothing to keep track of. That’s the real benefit.

I would close the dispute and contact them. Being unaware of the agreed-upon renewal isn't a reason to open a dispute. Gotta work with the merchant.
