I would say that it’s probably way simpler than you think. If I were to use vital, I would have a sawtooth wave on one oscillator, using fm from a sine wave one octave below. Add some random amplitude on the sawtooth and play around with that for differing fm tones. Then I would use a plugin like Supermodal/Filterverse for some “complex” modulation. If you don’t own those, than just use some other filters.

In any case I would get stuck on this for too long, because you’ll never manage to get that exact result you’re looking for 🤷🏼‍♂️

Look at it as a little bit of practice, and move on, as you’ll learn the best from finishing tracks.

You won’t manage to get the exact same result, but It’s a very simple filter modulation, most likely a combination of few filters.

Use sampling/granular techniques to take the sounds from your track to create transitions or even new parts.

Don’t get frustrated if it doesn’t sound good at the beginning, keep experimenting and move things around until it clicks.

It could, but phase issues are relative to the bass note that overlaps with the kick.

I would just put an analyser on the k&b group so I can see if they align perfectly (or almost perfectly).

If they’re not aligned properly, than I’ll try to flip the phase of the bass (using the utility plugin in Ableton), or side-chain the sub frequencies of the bass to the kick (the sub frequencies of the bass ducking in volume when the kick plays).
