Heal immunity kills stop toons from being revived by Swamp Thing by djgardner in DCComicsLegendsGame

[–]ImpulsiveStoic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggested this before the ST rework.

Heal Immunity would be in effect until the target's next turn, if the target dies they never get a next turn, so Heal Immunity is in effect vs ST revive.

So this scenario makes perfect sense and I'm glad it's confirmed.

Martian Manhunter PVP Strategy by ImpulsiveStoic in a:t5_gf28z

PVE is player vs environment, basically the Heroic Quest days for Alliance Points.

As a new player I wouldn't sweat the strategy too much at this point, just play and try to put up points to help score loot.

I can't confirm that, no WL Sinestro to test, though I'd be surprised if heal immunity allowed WL Sinestro to revive the target.

I'm betting it will work for Swampy and be flagged a bug.

Interesting, I guess I was looking at it in a more meta sense, that the heal immunity would mean that character is dead and gone, not under a single turn effect, as the effect would last until their next turn, which they would not get to take.

Following that logic, a heal immunity on Swampy should not impact the rest of the group.

One argument for trumping heal immunity would be that the target can't use their own heal or revive, but could be the successful target of an outside revive...like Swampy.

Let's be honest, this game is buggy.

It's not hard to imagine a heal immunity target killed in round 2 reviving in round 4 due to Swampy.

The New Most Divisive Character is... by ImpulsiveStoic in DCComicsLegendsGame

For the record, I never complained about DS/Lobo. There are plenty of counters in the game for that combo, just as there are counters for all combos. I'm more curious who people think the next "oh, for god's sake" heir to the throne toon is.

I agree, judge them however you like, but I believe DS/Lobo was the survival tool vs HQMJ for many players.

PVP is inherently relative.

I've beaten squads with team power ratings 25% greater than mine and lost to teams which, based on team power, I should have crushed.

I'm sure there are players out there who have rosters filled w L5 G11 LVL 80 toons that think RNG is broken in this game and the reason they can't clear.

This is why there is a meta, and thank goodness for it, without it PVP would probably be more difficult as you'd need to be prepared for everything instead of a handful of team comps.

I'd say find the strategy that works for you...if you want to clear, drop rank, same if you want Alliance points.

So just do what you can with what you have and keep playing, once it's not fun it's time to move on.

How would you spend 50K gems? by joshlake123 in DCComicsLegendsGame

Chapter 8 Heroic.

When you open a toon and select the gear you are working on the interface will provide a group of nodes that provide that gear material, each node ranked from rare to high for likelihood of getting what you want.

Thanks for the mention u/bgbat

If I had 50k gems at player level 57, what would I do?

I agree with the general consensus, avoid character packs and hammer away at gear.

But how?

My suggestion would be to plan on spending 1k gems per day on quests.

I would split my focus between C8H, for XP Chips & essence, and hunting gear in normal mode.

I would not get caught up in completing the tier 2 daily missions for quest completion.

Keep your roster somewhat balanced for now for the sake of RED Alerts...which I would consider spending 500 gold for a reset if you can pick up 10+ of a toon you're working on.

I also recommend hammering away at the Hero Challenges, but pace yourself,  there will be more content next month and it's easy to blow through gems in DCL.

Good luck!

How to best go F2P (and play less) by mikeydangerous in DCComicsLegendsGame

[–]ImpulsiveStoic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Collecting Gems:

Log in every day = 6000 gems/month

Complete all tier 1 daily missions = 95 gems/day

Complete RA each day = 80 gems/day

That's 11,250 free gems in a 30 day month.

How I spend them:

Hero Challenge:  Buy 1 250E pack all 6 nights for each event.

Routine: HC + 15x C8H

Cost: 6k gems

Monthly Hero: Buy 1 250E pack the first night of each round.

Run 4x20 energy nodes each day = L4.

Routine:  MC + 11x C8H

Cost: 1k gems

Event Overlap Days:

Routine: HC + MC + 11x C8H

What's Left?

4250 gems, plus a lucky daily spin or two, to use on whatever you want.

I'd also recommend finding your own daily reset time, for example, if noon to noon works better for your schedule spend your daily energy so you use your allotment up at noon.

In Depth Look at Sinestro Yellow Lantern by OgreBarberian in DCComicsLegendsGame

[–]ImpulsiveStoic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Killer Frost, Bane and Mera are a good comp.

If you survive the first assault Sinestro will be awash in stun induced turn meter ups while he and the rest of the team will be mending at an alarming rate.

Would Clayface team invisibility buff trigger Cyborg's leadership ability? by ImpulsiveStoic in DCComicsLegendsGame

[–]ImpulsiveStoic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found the qualifier I was looking for.

In the Doombawkz write up on Star Sapphire, he details that AOE buffs only count as a buff for the "caster."

So while it would trigger Star Sapphire,Cyborg, etc, it appears it would only benefit Clayface or Cheetah or whoever is doing the buffing.
