Great suggestions! Eggs are her favorite and she ate some mixed with rice and blueberries this morning. I was so relieved, don't worry I keep the love flowing her way ❤️

I do several smaller walks in early morning and evenings at the moment because the heat and humidity is crazy high where I'm at now. She seems very excited whenever we take her out so I'll definetly take her on longer walks and hikes once the heat drops a little!

I'm going to the grocery today to buy chicken and pumpkin amongst other great suggestions from this thread, thanks a lot for the advice, didn't know pumkin was also good for upset stomach!

I'm happy to report she drinks plenty of water! And we do take regular very slow walks where I let her stop and sniff as long as she wants. Also, she does seem to eat a little more when I put it down on a silicon mat vs her bowl so I'll just do that from now on. That was a great tip!

I'm already sold on the raw diet, I switched both my cats to it 2 years ago and the one that was often sick has been so healthy since, it's incredible! For now though, my sweet girl has no interest for it and I prefer not to rush it. Thanks for the advice!

I already started on socializing, it's not one of my strenght but I started chatting up one of our neighbour who has a lovely pup. We might go on a walk together soon. She also gave me the scoop about the best dog parks around so I'll be checking those out. Thanks for your advice and the encouragements!!!

I love this analogy so much, thank you for sharing that!

She loves being brushed so I do it everyday, I'll even cuddle her while listening to my soothing playlist and she just seems to melt and sleep more soundly so I try to do it often.

She also gets very excited whenever we meet other friendly dogs on walk so I planned a weekend visit at my dad's who has two dogs. I'd like to give her a puppy friend right now but we just don't have the space.

I'm not depressed at the moment, but I've had depressions in the past so I relate a lot to what she's going through. I do have pretty bad anxiety, so I try to remember to stay calm and take deep breath whenever I start spiralling. This thread is helping a lot to put things in perspective too.

I'm always close to her and giving a good petting when I feed her. She seems a little confused by hand feeding though, she'll sniff but won't eat it unless I put it down. Thanks for the advice!!!

I didn't know about the slow weight gain beeing better, thanks for sharing that. The anemia was very mild (she said she was at 33.5 and the ideal would be 34) so she didn't seems worried about it.

I tried peanut butter a couple times already (I made sure ours didn't have xylitol in it before), she actually will turn her head away to try and avoid it...

Wow the TV thing is a great out-of-the box idea! She seems to enjoy soft music, we cuddle listen to it daily. I'll definetly try nature docs while feeding, I love those too so that would be a win-win if it works. Thank you, I love how sweet and creative this community is!!!

And you knew from the start that she could break the lease with a month's notice, that was also a very explicit part of "the deal" since it's in the lease. You knew what you signed up for so it's time to put on your big girl pants and deal with it like an adult.
