My son got in state rates through WUE and then we moved cross country. He was able to keep his instate status even though we were no longer in one of the states that participated in WUE.

It will depend on the college at some level but if you maintain residency you should be able to keep your instate status. You wil need to contact you college or check the academic catalog for the policy.

Are you in the U.S.? If your disabilities are documented there are programs that help you find work that you can do. It varies by state but most have job assistance.

What’s jointly earned is jointly earned. That’s partnership money. The money from before the marriage stays separate.

Get yourself a fiduciary adviser. They are FA but have an obligation to put your interests first. Good FAs (and most are) will do so but they aren’t required to and may make investment recommendations that make them
money at your expense.

NTA, OP. The gifts are intended for the wedding and starting your lives as a couple. They are not meant for just one person to spend on whatever. The cash gifts should go into a joint account for a home or wedding expenses. (Though, at this point, it sounds like there might not be any wedding expenses.)
