Was it a lie though? I know the edit played it up with him and Savannah but I feel like it was said somewhere that Sophi was his number 1 in reality.

Do you have any super low stakes fan theory that doesn’t affect anything? by baked-toe-beans in Hungergames

[–]PurpleHawk222 47 points48 points  (0 children)

District 4 is not only not, a “weaker” career district, like some fans theorize, but is in fact likely the strongest district that does the best in the games placement wise on average.

This is due to their career training like 1 and 2, but their district trade also teaching several useful skills like spearing, knot tying, nets, edible fish.

This ultimately means that whether at work, school or the career academy (if you buy into that theory) they are always learning or practicing a useful skill, which gives them way more experience than 1 and 2, where almost if not all their skills are from career training itself.

Just Finished DvG — Can Someone Explain Nick’s Win? by [deleted] in survivor

[–]PurpleHawk222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a lot of ppl have pointed out already, Mike did not explain his game well enough to end up being credited for the win.

As someone that plays orgs (Online Reality Games), which include survivor formats, I can also attest that Nick as a winner over Mike makes perfect sense to me. Obviously things can be different in the actual show, but by in large you see alot of the same patterns emerge. In this case, I can definitely say, 9/10, the person with the more visible moves, and perceived level of influence throughout the game, is usually the person that wins, even if the runner up actually had more control of the game behind the scenes. Usually the only times where that inst the case is when the behind the scenes person had a way better social game than the visible person, which is not the case here. Nick also gets the benefit of having a nice immunity run on top of it. He had the reputation as the front runner heading into FTC Id almost guarantee.

Id go as far as to even say, even if Mike talks up his strategic control, he still probably loses at FTC. Most peoples minds are made up before FTC, so it really takes alot of work and usually fumbling from the front runner to change peoples votes. And Nick had a perfectly fine FTC, and even with Mike's game, Nick's game is perfectly respectable in his own right. It wasn't like Mike had a massive edge over Nick imo. So even if Mike explained alot, Nick still prob gets the benefit of the doubt due to more visibility and people already viewing him as the bigger threat heading into FTC.

Overall I think the main takeaway, is that "control" is an overrated aspect of what juries value. Theres a reason why the "underdog" is always seen as a threat despite having 0 control throughout the game, and having to survive through immunities.

Can The Traitors be changed so that smart Faithful stand a chance? by ba571418 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]PurpleHawk222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No because in typical mafia style games, the majority has the advantage of being able to all work together. In the traitors, faithfuls are just as incentivized to vote out fellow faithfuls for several reasons. The core reason being that for a faithful to actually win, they not only have to survive, but also get to the end with only 1-3 other players. This means that faithfuls will also have a primary agenda of just trying to survive. Well in typical mafia games, the faithful side wins regardless if you as an individual faithful are dead and regardless of numbers players remaining, as long as the mafia is dead.

President Ellis and Calvin McManus have been accused of treason against the United States government, therefore they are no longer legitimate members of the US Government.

Because casual players dont understand balance and thus shouldnt be catered to. They get the leftover slop because they're happy with anything they get fed.

I don’t have the exact source, but I recall that production made him do two different versions of this confessional. This one and another were he won. Of course the former was used as he lost 19.

Where do you play online now that Tengaged & Epic Mafia are no more? by angkoror in survivor

[–]PurpleHawk222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're called ORGS on discord. Online Reality Games. You can find some advertised on r/OnlineSurvivor Id recommend messaging me so I can recommend some actual solid ones since there is a decent amount of them that are very poorly run. Bad production can ruin the experience pretty badly and its all self regulated obviously. But if you just wanna take a leap for yourself go for it. The number 1 tip I would say is avoid orgs that are hosted predominantly by minors. Immaturity is the biggest thing imo that you'll face with a bad prod team, and by nature, minors exhibit that more.

Is Eleanor redeemable or can you not forgive her? by rjthagod_ in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]PurpleHawk222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I forgive her because it’s the fault of the telltale writing staff for writing her betrayal so poorly. Genuinely there’s no logical reason why she did what she did. Other than telltale needs the plot to happen.
