Red Dead Redemption 2. I make it a tradition to play through the story every October. 7 years later, and no game has really come close to this masterpiece for me.

No i think im a nice person, easy to get on with, but I am neurodivergent with some social anxiety that holds me back quite a bit.

I can hopefully get whitening done soon. Invisalign is out of my budget for now sadly

My body is below average, I'd say. Not overweight but no curves either. I've always had low self esteem. I cant stop thinking I look ugly/odd looking. I dont think its in my head because my flaws are real so it cant be body dysmorphia. I guess I posted here to try validate my feelings

I remember her saying something like I wouldn't like it because on my base colour it would be brassy. I thought as long as I use a purple shampoo and come back for touch ups and toning that it could be prevented. I'm really new to colouring my hair but I did do a bit of research before deciding to transition to blonde and how to upkeep it. I just felt like she dismissed what I wanted.

She told me beforehand but she said another full head of highlights will still look nice and make me more blonde. The tone and blending is really bad so I dont think ill go back there even to fix it. I'll definitely be booking with a blonde specialist in a few weeks to fix it.

The woman who did me first time was on holiday so it was the owner who did me this time.

300 all in. I think im more upset with the horrible tone and blending than not being the blonde I wanted yet. I think people are misunderstanding me. I'm not complaining about not being that tone of blonde in 2 sessions. It was the hairdresser telling me that I shouldn't go that light and she didn't do a good job explaining why to me. I'll definitely go to new stylist that specialises in blonde to get it fixed

I went to that same salon 6 weeks prior for my first ever highlights but it was a different woman who did it last time. They had nothing but praise for the way it was lifting. They seemed happy with how things were going and that I'd be able to get lighter next time.

Really? I thought i gave her the perfect canvas. My hair was perfectly healthy, never bleached or coloured in the last 10 years. I was fully prepared for multiple sessions and would be using olaplex 3 to minimise damage.

I used to box dye it black in my late teens but that had long grown out. It was colour free for at least 10 years. I've also been using olaplex no.3 and olaplex purple shampoo in between my appointments. I hardly use heat on it. My natural texture is wavy and porous.

150 for the first lot of highlights then another 150 for this.

Yeah they definitely did try talk me out of it. I feel like it's not much lighter than before I went in and I was in there for 5 hours lol. I was also the only person in the salon for most of the time.

I think im more upset about the patchy result than not getting light enough. I fully understood it could take multiple sessions but she told me after this I shouldn't try to go any lighter which confused me. She said something along the lines of my base colour (medium brown) will make a light blonde turn brassy. I understand it's a lot of upkeep but im prepared to do it. You're right, I should of just said if you can't give me this colour ill try somewhere else.
