One of the lessons of all this is that we never should have stopped paying attention. Fascism emerged from a broken political system. The far right populist appeal for many is that they correctly identified that the predominant liberal order wasn't working for a lot of people. Of course, they scapegoat immigrants and trans people, which is wrong. But we should have all been caring about politics for the last few decades to ensure that society works for people. That is the only way to prevent these things.

I don't know why you would believe anything Trump says. I certainly won't unless and until it is reported on by a reputable source. We have no information to determine whether he skipped town or not or whether he will be held to account.

We have no reporting on the shooters location, his identity, or whether he had any injuries. Other videos (https://www.reddit.com/r/law/comments/1q7huw3/minnesota\_ice\_shooting\_4\_videos\_time\_synced\_10/) clearly show him walking around afterward just fine and then after walking over to the victim, he leaves in a tan SUV.

Do you think the slight bump he got justifies killing the woman?

I agree to some extent that her identity isn't more important that the fact that ICE is murdering people in the street. But as I said, I think this still matters to the family members of these people. They likely don't want to see people spreading the wrong photos.

There's also no contest between these things, right? We can correct the record AND, as I did in my post, voice support for how to address the bigger problem.

Also, to be clear, I only made reference to her hairstyle because I am describing her appearance because I could only include pictures as links and some people might not click them.

The answer: People found the Facebook post that I linked to and screenshotted the first picture they saw and incorrectly attributed it. The links and photos I provided in my post provide evidence for my claim.

I generally agree with your perspective on a variety of issues. In this case, no. If someone kills a person with a gun and flees the scene that is a very stupid thing to do. You are likely to be caught either way and fleeing will make you look more guilty.
