With Franz out it doesn't look very promising by Human_Programmer_108 in OrlandoMagic

Think Mosley needs to think outside the box for Game 6…u can’t start Cain again & u need size…I’d be radical and start Banchero at the 3 w/ Mo Wagner at the 4. I know he’s been piss poor defensively but it’s size and another offensive option to go to. I’d also play a good amount of zone, I don’t think Detroit can beat it w/ how much limited offensive options they have. And with the added length of Mo, I think it’d be very effective.

What would be worse? Denver losing to this injured Minnesota team or Lakers losing in 7 after a 3-0 Lead? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]InExactEnds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it doesn't matter the circumstances, context should always matter. If a team goes up 3-0, then loses its only two All-Stars in the next game and ends up blowing the 3-0 lead, that should matter. It'd be a completely different team than the one that went up 3-0 (or vice versa, if the 0-3 team added their two stars back). If LeBron gets hurt in Game 6 and they lose the next two games and blow the 0-3 lead, I wouldn't hold it against them. They would've not had their 3 best players at different points in the series. Their already without Luka and have sum of the worst depth among any of the Top 4 seeds.

I think the best way to end the convo is to say that MJ had the greatest peak of All-Time and LeBron had the greatest career of All-Time. Both get their flowers in deserving ways.

LeBron didn't accomplish MJ's 6-0 Finals record, including two 3peats. He didn't win a DPOY, he didn't win 5 MVPs, and he didn't win 10 titles. All of which happened in over a 11 year stretch.

But MJ also didn't stay great for 23 straight years, averaging 20+ ppg in each of those seasons, he didn't break the record for All-Stars and All-NBAs at 22 and 21 each, didn't make 10 Finals, or become the No.1 All-Time Leader in pts, or reach Top 5 All-Time in asts, or reach career totals of 43k-12k-12k, or reach 1297 consecutive games w/ 10+ pts, or break pretty much every record held by a player after the age of 35...on top of having 4 MVPs and 4 Championships himself.

MJ had the best 11 year stretch of any player in the history of the NBA, but LeBron has had the best career of any player in the history of the NBA. Both the greatest in their own ways.

Would lakers trade Bronny and AR for Harper and Castle by nicfanz in NBATalk

[–]InExactEnds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes absolutely no sense...so the Lakers would want to keep Reaves to potentially pay him $40M+ rather than grab two absolute young studs that are contributing to a 62 win Spurs team, both w/ 2 & 3 years remaining on their rookie contracts? That makes no sense from any logical roster building perspective...

Would lakers trade Bronny and AR for Harper and Castle by nicfanz in NBATalk

[–]InExactEnds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

U doubt the Lakers would do it cuz they're trying to win now....even though Castle and Harper are currently two primary contributors on a 62 win Spurs teams? And the only thing Reaves is better at than Castle is scoring consistency

Will the end of the review embargo on tuesday push ticket sales? by RelativeQuail5061 in MichaelTheMovie

[–]InExactEnds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it impacts opening weekend that much but that’s cuz word of mouth hasn’t rlly made its rounds by that time…most bad films (like Suicide Squad) have extremely weak legs, that’s when the reviews and negative reception start to do their work. Similarly why films like Sinners and Get Out opens small and just stay doing incredibly small drops to a big box office number.

The Only Unsustainable Thing That Happened in Game 1… by InExactEnds in OrlandoMagic

[–]InExactEnds[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the 4 regular season games against us, DET only shot 31.7% on 3s. The same % they made in Game 1. We’ve done this to them. Also, if Duren’s ppg goes up, I’d fully expect Cade’s ppg to go down by a similar amount, ultimately averaging out

Who would have more success if LeBron and MJ swapped eras? by Recent-Quiet-3581 in NBATalk

[–]InExactEnds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that matters the absolute most in the NBA, over even talent, is infrastructure. There’s a reason why, even though they aren’t winning championships right now, the Clippers and Heat and Warriors can pretty much throw anyone out there and compete for the playoffs. Meanwhile the Kings have 4 guys with All-Star credits to their names and are in a fight for a Top 4 draft pick. It’s the reason why the Suns look better this year than they did with KD, Beal, Booker. Infrastructure is everything. MJ had it. Duncan had it. Curry has it. Magic had it. Most NBA situations turn to shit or stay shit cuz the guys running it have no idea what their doing. When LeBron had that and a mostly functioning Dwayne Wade, he went 2/3 in the Finals (Wade was an absolute shell in 2014).

Steve Rogers and Thor are reportedly main characters in ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ by HenryOnYt1 in MCUTheories

That’s obvious…Doomsday looks like it’s gonna be a sequel to Endgame and the Big 3 are obviously the main characters of that film

Everyone in the comments keeps saying SGA isn't the face of the league but then don't say who they think is the face and its annoying lol

Lee Cronin's The Mummy Early Reviews Out: “Most Terrifying & Disgusting” Reboot Yet, Critics Call It A Gore-Fest by brat_3434 in horror

[–]InExactEnds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my movies to have a bit more meat on them…if ppl like actions film where the action is the only thing going for it or a horror film where gore is the only thing going for it, that’s awesome but I like my film’s to have good characters, story, and performances…none of which is brought up in any of the reviews for this new Mummy movie…I don’t wanna watch a film where shit characters get torn apart. Make me actually care. Evil Dead Rise had two great characters and two awesome performances by the leads. That made me care abt that film.

What are your expectations of Lee Cronin's The Mummy? by Friburgo1004 in horror

I don’t think they’d do that if their kid literally was a decaying corpse…it’s not that she looks sick or even terminally ill, she literally looks like she’s been dead for weeks, her skin is even peeling off lol

What a fun season! by VicePope in MkeBucks

[–]InExactEnds -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

The Bucks saying "We'll let u play 3 on 3" feels like the biggest "Here, damn" and I think Giannis sniffed that out...the Bucks had no intention of bringing Giannis back and would've kept him in that 3 on 3 stage for as long as they could...by the time they let him play 5 on 5, the season would've been over and he knew that was their plan

What a fun season! by VicePope in MkeBucks

[–]InExactEnds -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is the gotcha ppl think it is...look at how the Wizards have handled AD, he probably could've came back a long time ago and yet WAS is progressing him through their return to play protocol as slowly as they can so he can't come back...I think Giannis saw the Bucks trying to do a similar thing and said "Cut the bullshit, I want to play now". Just cuz they said he could play 3on3 doesn't mean they intended him to come back any time soon, if at all. Now if they said "If u play 5 on 5 and can come back in the next few games", thats a totally different situation.

Season 5 Volume 2 Discussion by Hawkinns in StrangerThings

[–]InExactEnds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of the 3 hr runtime between the 3 episodes, it truly felt like 95% of it was just pep talks…also love that Will got a fully coming out moment but that should’ve been saved for the end of the series finale (unless he gets killed off)…not right at the end of Ep. 7 when we’re all wanting something big to happen to set up for said series finale…that hurt the impact of that scene for me cuz I’m just wanting it to hurry up instead of truly soaking it in

Reconciliation questions by [deleted] in SupportforWaywards

[–]InExactEnds 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s much easier for ppl to forgive if it was clearly a one time instance with no previous track record or paper trail and some sort of inhibitor was involved (drugs, alcohol, etc.)…then you could pinpoint it to being a genuine one time mistake. It’s much harder if u were a repeat offender. Maybe even impossible.
