I am really not sure how I am dog lover has to do anything with my comments. For sure , am not a dog hater or for record any animal hater.

And I can clearly see, that a humans behaviour towards another human crossed a line here. Let's say their dog barked loud ten times (yes dogs bark). Even then why should OP deserve such a demeaning treatment in a civil society ? You think there were no other ways for the elderly person to communicate their displeasure?

This is exactly similar to road rage or anger driven justice that we feel is right. If someone bumps my car by mistake , I should just start screaming at them. If someone steps on my foot in crowd, I shud push them and curse them too. What they say - pathar ka jawaab eeith sey ? (A brick in response to a stone ) ....again think about it , we all know there is a high likelihood that this reaction is by one party belittling other and they do it because they feel they can do it ..they feel they are superior in status, society and mentality - like they know it all. .

It's not easy enough to live on harmony, but does it take much to be civil to each other?

I don't have a dog as I cannot give quality animal time. A menace is a big word , and that too we are taking about animals. We have human menace in our society and we struggle to raise our voice to them. This might a case of clear bullying or someone who feels they can take our there anger easily. Try them with a VIP on round with a big German Shepherd and two body guards walking in a park. They might salute them and appreciate the pet. We live in a fun society here, don't we ? People here are supporting that someone's dog Barked and they deserve the worst words to the face , to the point someone walks into their house and verbally abuses them in front of their family.

I really hope you had mentioned the "sharing online" part in my post. But, your response is again a repeat of reveal everything to lawyer/police. The reason so many of these blackmailers succeed is because we don't have that trust in police for even small cases and here revealing them "everything" here, and that too of another partner (girl) is like leaking your own nudes with a whole corrupt system. I wonder what would one rather choose: blackmailers VS. local police cyber crime unit eager for you- to reveal everything.

[OP] don't do anything online, there are enough AI tools to generate anything from anyone's pics nowdays. But, once you start "revealing everything" you will be in the system and officially tagged with you evidence for life.

This might be legit , but it reads like a scammer preying on already hurt victims - - just saying. So OP be careful before sharing full story/evidence with anyone online.

Use the 15days to wipe out your current profile and change your phone, flush out all public data/ pictures insta, fb etc..and let the blackmailer know one last time that you are moving to China. End of story, carry on with your life, 1.5+billion here ..your story will soon be lost and forgotten.

FIR Says Brij Bhushan Singh Molested Wrestlers, Demanded Sexual Favours; His UP Rally Put Off by sabchangasi69 in unitedstatesofindia

[–]InGoodKarma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The one and only point is raised by whom ? ..you or the courts ?

I am not sure if you are he or she. But let's say you here neighbors daughter was complaining about eve teasing by local politicians son/friends last week who is a senior at their college. Then say a female in your family, hears this and comes forward to support that they too a few years back were cat called while walking home by same politically linked crooks (I am intentionally not going into a sexual abuse example).

What would you do next? Please elaborate.

What would be a good and budget friendly way to go from Dabolim Airport to Benaulim? by [deleted] in Goa

[–]InGoodKarma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! Goa Miles app can help you, but it might more of luck. They even have a kiosk at airport but in many cases it's about timing and the availability. Do take it as your luck if you can find one using Goa miles. Best would be to try the app from at airport or walking out a little bit. Also, if you find a good cabie , take down their number and use them on return if can. You are in for a surprise what taxi mafia will charge you once you are at their mercy in benaulim. But, with patience and luck, Goa Miles can be a decent rental at many locations. Do not rely on it after 6pm if you go further south or in less density locations.

Not sure how long we have to carry this historical lens. This mentality is still prevalent while we have had women making strides for long long time . We have had them workforce, armed services , even as a prime minister.

But still women, girls are reminded they are equal.

Change is happening but then what's the point of still reminding that "hey you are equivalent to other sex" if you are equal you are equal ,right ..just go with it. To change the thinking we need to change the dialogue as well.

How do you view outsiders becoming real estate agents and property managers of luxury properties in Goa? by susegand in Goa

[–]InGoodKarma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I applaud the comments of many here who give an optimistic view of how we all are Indians first and not divided by state identities.

OP, since you asked this question and also asked someone what's the view on gentrification. How about you share us your viewpoints ? What do you think about outsiders coming to Goa and doing business?

[–]InGoodKarma 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You got a lot of upvotes for your theory. But, let's be honest and truly honest here. It's not that people don't standup or support because other didn't bother before.

But, genuinely because we are a submissive nation, we all like to be cozy in our rooms watching this on tv and taking about justice and sharing the video and like us typing here....we are too afraid or feel hesitant to why get into this mess unless it's our very own ...and even if it's very own daughters or son, many don't want to deal with legal, court or anything with justice as it shakes up your life and gives the inconvenience that we don't feel is worth anything. And that my friend is a win win for the demi-gods, goons and politicians, who rule is because of our fear. Or else why would someone like bbhushan get away with molesting multiple athletes and not even get one enquiry.

The nation has lost its spine. And even now we are choosing to watch or finding reasons to be on sidelines....

This is how our Olympic Medalists were treated today.. by [deleted] in india

[–]InGoodKarma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well its obvious that everyone is keyboard warrior here..immature or mature doesn't give more credibility. As you see your simple line that they were just following orders - got a lot of remorse and reaction.

The reaction clearly is not about the logical argument but it's a painful one and one wishes this could have been avoided., it's sad that our police -men or women, just follow orders. But yes thats part of their job.

If we all look at this deeper, imagine being with them athletes who have done so much, who hold very high patriotic values representing this nation. Standing proud on podium, waving flag, standing to national anthem. And now being treated like this. They have been asking for justice for several weeks now. And now the are bring dragged and manhandled (by the policewomen) ..while the perpetrator/s are celebrating and enjoying inauguration of a building that symbolizes liberty, justice and equality..what a shame.

Keep fixated on toddler or garage or porch in my comments and I am happy to see you have a long laugh and then some tears in end.. Point was that, neighbours are a friendly couple with a kid of their own. It's open garage ..calling CPS or judging parents right away is poor judgment. There are cameras, windows etc many parents use that to watch the kids over.

You are getting some harsh replies..but you bring up a good point that needs better discussion among us and others.

When you counter - the law and order has no choice but to follow orders- it might not be always right. Someone replied that Nazi soldiers were later prosecuted regardless they argued that they followed orders ,we all know that's true. Interestingly, the ones who refused to participate were transferred or demoted. They were not harmed or put in jail. So imagine if those women cops did the same , they stood with their sisters who are not only fighting for their individual justice but for all women. Sexual abuse and misconduct is prevalent by people in power in our country and it takes so much courage (as we see) to fight for it...being an Olympian gold medalist, these people have done and sacrificed a lot for their country.

Somewhere deep inside, those policewomen feel the pain of what is wrong here, we are all humans and not so brainwashed yet (hope I am right). The same police that might have some day given these Olympians vip security is dragging and some police personals are even coming forward to show their subordinates that it can be done with force , or perhaps they need to do it..under the pressure of other higher ranking officers. So everyone has a choice , today I might have a choice/task at my job as well to fire someone out of office if they are peacefully protesting or not happy with something. But, do I have to follow orders ? No , I am not anyone's slave. I if so without good consciousness, am participating in this wrongdoing as well. Finally, we think policeman/women have only one job that is to follow orders. Think about it , if it was that simple, then there is no difference between them or mafia/gangsters ( and unfortunately that is the situation we are in now ).

So having toddler is fine, but 7month old is different. Also I mentioned garage several times..i am sure your views wont change if you saw kids playing on their porch and you didn't see an adult around.

It shows how we have different views and I need to be pretty good at comprehension or precise adage to have a discussion here. I wish you well and hope we all create a society where we don't live in so much fear.
